bristuff-0.2.0-RC8n problems and kernel panic
Hi list! On a newly installed RHEL 4 box I'm trying to install bristuff-0.2.0-RC8n. Everything did compile but I am running into some problems with the zaphfc driver. First of all when I load zaphfc *before* zaptel (yes I know I shouldn't do that) I get a kernel panic and the box hangs. Not so nice, especially when you are trying to fix stuff from remote locations. But o...

PrivacyManager not working Asterisk 1.0.9-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RC8n
Hi list! I'm trying to get PrivacyManager working but for some reason it always thinks that CallerID is present (when it isn't). I get this on the console: == Primary D-Channel on span 1 up -- Accepting voice call from '' to '0711234567' on channel 0/2, span 1 -- Executing Ringing("Zap/2-1", "") in new stack -- Executing

[Asterisk-Dev] Severe ISDN signal distortion in CVS-HEAD with octoBRI
...related. 3.Signal distortion is limited to the use of the CVS version of the Bristuff patch for asterisk (tested on Bristuff-0.2.0-RC8f-CVS/Asterisk-CVS-05.29.05). The Stable versions of the Bristuff patch do not have the problem (tested on Bristuff-0.2.0-RC8f/Asterisk-1.0.7 and Bristuff-0.2.0-RC8n/Asterisk-1.0.9). 4.Signal distortion is limited to calls with an ISDN Transfer Capability of 0x00 (SPEECH) or 0x10 (3K1AUDIO). Calls with an ISDN Transfer Capability of 0x08 (DIGITAL) are not being effected. 5.The amount of signal distortion is of such severity that it is almost impossible to...

Bristuff qozap drivers problem
Hi, For a significant time now (since about 0.2.0-rc8n) the qozap driver has become very verbose if an ISDN line is not connected... I get the messages below every couple of seconds in the asterisk logs. The "flaw" in the messages is the "Alarm cleared" message - The alarm cannot possibly be cleared because there is no physical med...

I have the problem that on outgoing calls i hear my voice as a short echo (about half a second). This occurs not on every call. ISDN D-channel disconnects for a minute every 5 minutes
...a whole minute, and then returns to state F7 (ACTIVATED). I have used Asterisk 1.2.0-Bristuffed-0.3.0-PRE-1 with the corresponding florz patch and Asterisk 1.2.1-Bristuffed-0.3.0-PRE-1g with the corresponding florz patch, but they both have the same problem. I use Asterisk 1.0.9-BRIstuffed-0.2.0-RC8n as a live machine on the same NT1 with no problems at all. The D-channel goes down and up (like all KPN ISDN lines do), but I have never had any problems with the machine not being reachable or something. When I have the "problematic" Asterisk 1.2.x testmachine on the same NT1 using anot...

Asterisk 1.0.9 on SuSE 9.2 with ISDN BRI & zaphfc?
I would like to know how to install asterisk 1.0.9 with zaphfc working on a SuSE 9.2. I tried this: - The rpms with SuSE 9.2 are asterisk 1.0.6 - bristuff works, except for zaphfc, which doesn't compile. - The official asterisk download file doesn't contain isdn bri support Any ideas? Lars Dybdahl.

Quad BRI cards
...some feedback based on other people's experience. We currently use the Junghanns card, which is a pure Zaptel solution, which is fantastic, but they have no hardware EC solution, and their drivers are becoming increasingly un-stable with time (I back-port to a modified qozap driver from 0.2.0-RC8n which is the last one I can run without bad behaviour) I am aware of the Beronet BN4S0, which appears to be "exactly" the same card as the Junghanns card, but with mISDN drivers, still no h/w EC solution, and as a result, less effective (from what I read here) software echo cancellation....

florz patch for bristuff breaks compile on x86_64?
After upgrading a CentOS 3.x box to CentOS 4.1 (both x86_64 with an Athlon64) I also wanted to get the latest bristuff. Unfortunately bristuff without florz causes the box to kernel panic within hours (console will complain about bad frame received something). It seems however that the florz patch will not work for x86_64 arch. Bristuff -0.2.0-RC8j compiles fine without the florz patch, but

zaphfc syslog flooding
Hi, my zaphfc is flooding my syslog with two messages (even without asterisk running). Is this "normal"?: -------------------------------------------------- zaphfc: bchan rx fifo not enough bytes to receive! (z1=1360, z2=1353, wanted 8 got 7), probably a buffer overrun. zaphfc: dropped audio (z1=2712, z2=2695, wanted 8 got 17, dropped 9). With Asterisk running (asterisk -vvvvvgc)
