[Colin McRae Rally] Crashes the X-Server?!
Hi,
yesterday I created a bug report for this, but the wine-devs said, that wine can't crash the x-server (yeah, sure...) so I wanted to ask if someone knows how to get a log of what is happening there?!
Things to make the xserver crash: simple start the game, just after double click the x-server crashs and I've to reboot, ctrl-alt-backspace doesn't do anything.
I tried wine

My understanding is that isolinux.bin and ldlinux.bin are pretty much
twins[1]. If I understand correctly, you'd like the latter to be tacked
onto the former because people are too stupid to put both on the ISOs
that they are too stupid...

how do you interpolate a gaussian grid to a standard 2.5 degree grid?
...ut cannot find mention of a way
of interpolating a gaussian distribution of data to a standard 2.5 degree grid.
I have two global dataset and I need to correlate - unfortunately one is a 2.5
degree grid dim[longitude=144,latitude=72] and one is gaussian
dim[longitude=192,latitude=94].
I would rally appreciate hearing back from any of you who may have wanted to
interpolate your data is this way. If there is no ready-made function you know
of but you are willing to share your own methods I would also appreciate any
pointers.
Many thanks for your time,
Jenny Barnes

[LLVMdev] Arm port
...r new make system
I agree. While I too like 'make' (particularly with the gnu
extensions :), it does not cut it for us on windows. If there are
problems with cmake that are preventing it from being used to generate
unix make files, I'd appreciate it if we (as a community) could rally
around resolving them, rather than introducing even more crazy build
systems.

R C API resize matrix
Hi,
Is there a way to resize a matrix defined as follows:
SEXP a = PROTECT(allocMatrix(INTSXP, 10, 2));
int *pa = INTEGER(a)
To row = 5 and col = 1 or do I have to allocate a second matrix "b" with
pointer *pb and do a "for" loop to transfer the value of a to b?
Thank you
Best regards

Syntax for address range
I would like to add a rule allowing only the address 192.168.150.20 and the
range of addresses from 192.169.150.100 to 192.168.150.150 in zone dmz0 to
connect to two terminal servers in the local zone.
Is there a syntax that can specify a range of addresses in the rules file? Do
I have to enter each one separately?

NYC Puppet Meetup
Hi All,
We are wanting to having a Puppet Meetup in NYC on February 3th, 2009,
6:30 PM. Place to be determined. Baring that my wife doesn''t give
birth by then (which would prevent me from making it) how does this
sound to everyone else?
Brian G.,
Can you rally up the troops and also invite people from other groups?
Also let''s have some specific topics to discuss.

Common setup code and naming specifications
Hello!
I have a lot of contexts for testing Rails controllers, that must do
something like ''session[:logged_in] = true'' in their setup. How can this
be refactored? In unit tests I would simply create a
LoggedInControllerTest base class, that all my functional tests would
derive from.
And another small question:
In my controller specifications I often have to decide whether to

Alec Saunders post about Mashable Telco's
Interesting read in Alec Saunders blog today.
http://saunderslog.com/2007/03/01/mashable-telcos/
Thought it may interest some people on this list.
As food for thought, why it is that ITSP's haven't come up with more
'interesting' voice applications? When asterisk first became available I
thought it was the beginning of seeing really neat applications, think

Came across this as a stub page browsing Amazon UK. This is good
news! I''m surprised it hasn''t been discussed on the list before.
Was Chad keeping it a secret?
I hope it will have plenty of BDD theory. I''m still waiting for that

Is XVD live resize possible?
Hi!
Say I export an LVM logical volume from dom0 as /dev/xvda to the domU:
disk = [ ''phy:xenimages/stan,xvda,w'' ]
No I can lvresize xenimages/stan in dom0, but the domU stays ignorant
of this change. How could I propagate the resize to the domU without
rebooting or temporarily breaking its connection to /dev/xvda? Sort
of a SCSI rescan, perhaps?

Complex proposal v3 + roundtable agenda
...FSubFMF(Y, X, &I); <== ***HERE***
```
Both of those come for free with a complex type, along with the
pattern matching code.
I'm not opposed to finding solutions for these problems, but this
pitch has been around for a while now, and it hasn't really taken off
yet. It's hard to rally behind it again.
(***) Let me point out that my number theory and abstract algebra are
*rusty*. So don't be fooled into thinking my initial assumptions about
complex numbers are correct.
Acts_as_authenticated
Hello
I have been trying a number of security/login generators recently. My
favourite so far is the Acts_as_authenticated. I like the fact that it
is only billed as a starting point and doesn''t try to do everything.
I would like to add security roles to it, so that some of my controller
actions can only be used by an admin role. Has anybody implemented this
using
