would like to see R plots on local X display
Dear useRs, Sorry, if this is a FAQ. I just need the direction to dig. I am working on the linux box (its DNS name is raccoon, to be definite), Fedora Core 3. I connect with ssh to another linux box (Debian, dns name chena) and run R on it. When I call a plotting function from the R command line, it produces the file Rplots.ps, containing the required plot. I am running X on the raccoon. When

Netbios over ipsec (slightly ot)
Hi, This issue might be a slightly offtopic, but someone might have experience with it. Thanks for reading this post anyway. I have the following setup: Network 10.227.7.X is connected over a wlan (172.1.1.1 <-> 172.1.1.2) to network 128.1.1.X. This setup works, I have cross-subnet browsing going and I am able to login. When I enable IPSEC (raccoon (linux <-> freebsd)) I am still

Plot legend
Dear All- I am trying to create a legend where the first 9 terms are represented as pch=16 in one column (which I am able to do); but, I would like the last two terms in that column to be 'lines" (which are black and red - just as it looks like in the plot). I have read through many help pages and searched the help listserv, but haven't figured this one out yet. Does anyone have

dynamic IPSEC: Holy grail sighted
Hi, Thanks to some pointers from Christian Kratzer, I am now able to join the office VPN from a random WiFi hotspot. With the configuration files changes detailed below, from a public WiFi hotspot I can now use this 3 step procedure to login to the office VPN. 1) While at hotspot, boot up my -STABLE laptop. 2) Insert wireless card. 3) "rsh server" This procedure works for a DHCP

PCA analysis, presence-absence of mammals in parks
Hi everyone, So I am trying to see which ecological parameter of different parks in nyc influence the most the diversity of the medium-sized mammals in those parks. I have a bunch of different parameters for each park I'm done studying and the presence (1) and absence (0) of each mammal. I wanted to do a principal component analysis of those data to know which ones of those parameters are the

ANCOVA with defined error terms
I am trying to run an ANCOVA with defined error terms. Thus I have to use AOV and not lm. my response variable is proportion of mice paw prints on track plates. These plates were placed on plots that had vegetation and fruit manipulated to two levels each (present or absent), and were sampled monthly for 14 months (repeated measures). The fully crossed factor design was also blocked. My sample

Multiple Instances of Asterisk
I have a quick question for the list. For what reason would you have multiple instances of asterisk running on a single box? I can maybe see it if you have multiple IP addresses, but other than that I am drawing a blank. Thanks, B. J.

"o" extension broken?
Hello all. I just found out that I am no longer able to exit out of voicemail properly by hitting the 0 key, but the * key works. Asterisk comes back and says "I'm sorry, I did not understand that response" and goes on in the context. Is this a new "feature" or bug? Is anyone else having this problem? I am using Asterisk 1.0.3, and have tried it on two separate

Remove superscripts from HTML objects
Is there some way to remove superscripts from objects returned by html/xmlParse (XML package)? h <- "<html><p>Cata</p><p>Dog</p></html>" doc <- htmlParse(h) xpathSApply(doc, "//p", xmlValue) [1] "Cata" "Dog" I could probably remove the tags from the "h" object above,

Multiple DTMF digits on 7960
Hello all. We have an asterisk system set up, and we are seeing a lot of multiple DTMF digits being read by asterisk. In digging through the archives the only answer I have seen is to put in the statement relaxdtmf=yes in the zapata.conf file. Since we are not using any zapata devices, I have tried to put that statement in my sip.conf file to no avail. Any help would be appreciated as my end

Re: Netbios over IPSec
Actually - as I stated - I have cross subnet browsing working (and thus wins). And I do have a samba box on both ends. The behaviour I noted happens irregularly: sometimes I can open a share on the other subnet, but mostly I cannot not. I'll still have a look at your suggestions though, it might help. Regards, Bolke > I suspect your problem is, netbios *broadcasts* simply don't

Data manager in a Spatial Ecology lab, Univ Florida, Fort Lauderdale FL
...vement in urban areas, or migration and range dynamics in the context of climate change. The primary mission of the Data Manager will be to manage the group's database system: we run a PostgreSQL/PostGIS database system on a Linux server, which hosts telemetry data on wood storks, sea turtles, raccoons, and associated GIS layers. In the near future, we will be adding advanced data from albatrosses, including accelerometers and infrasound. The Data Manager will manage the database server (database design, manual and automated data entry, metadata, set permissions for users and groups, backups, dev...

TE110P as E1
Hello, I'm having problem with a wildcard TE110P. As soon as I load the module (wcte11xp for kernel 2.6.10), it spawns a yellow error with or without an E1 plugged-in. Any one managed to set it up in France?
