modified FAST Script from package SensoMineR for the R community - Reg
###Dear R users
###I have been using SensoMineR package from CRAN for most of my work in
sensory data analysis and from my usage experience, I encountered some
areas for improvement and considered ###modifying the function in
SensoMineR package for my personal use. I felt that it could be useful to
share this to the community for enabling adoption by other users where

R Commander and FactoMineR
Dear Users,
I helped to install R Commander and FactoMineR to one of my collegaues.
He wanted to do an MCA. Selecting three variables and using the default settings results in only one graph, the variables representation, where he gets three points for the three variables (which is totally fine).
Running the code (output of the point-and-click method)
EuTop100.MCA<-EuTop100[,

Outside of Qualys, I found the following sites interesting :

Using merge
Hi,
I have two tables and I need to merge both. I use the merge command, but
in this way the name must be exactly. How I can make to compare
independently of upper or lower-case?
Look:

Entomology","Neotropical Biology And Conservation"))

The RHEL/CentOS out-of-the-box apache tls is a little old but operational. This Mozilla resource is excellent for getting apache tls config up-to-date.

MFA variables graph, filtered by separate.analyses
Hi!
Apologies if this is not the correct place to ask. I am attempting a
MFA analysis of a dataset based on wine chemical and sensory analysis,
based on the STHDA tutorial [1]. (I am using this dataset here too, as
an example dataset to work on without posting my actual data. I've
tried this with both my data and the example data, with the exact same
results.)
The only issue I am having is

Major Linux distributions are vulnerable to three bugs in systemd, a Linux
initialization system and service manager in widespread use,
California-based security company Qualys said late yesterday. From a
report:
The bugs exist in 'journald' service, tasked with collecting and storing
log data, and they can be exploited to obtain root privileges on the
target machine or to leak information. No patches exist at the moment.

dovecot: disable ssl compression
Hello,
Our "it-security" department asked me about Qualys warnings like
-> SSL/TLS Compression Algorithm Information Leakage Vulnerability
As far as I learned it's compression inside ssl.
postfix-2.11 knows 'tls_ssl_options = no_compression'
( see http://www.postfix.org/postconf.5.html#tls_ssl_options )
is the something comparable in...

Old Asterisk forums not working
Hello!
https://forums.asterisk.org/ is doing it again - "Content Encoding Error.
An error occurred during a connection to forums.asterisk.org. Please
contact the website owners to inform them of this problem".
Which is odd, as the Qualys test seems to pass, only losing a point for
supporting TLS 1.0. But I know it's not just me because Pingdom can't read
the page, either.
Also, the wiki seems VERY slow today - I'm trying to find out whether

Wireless problem
Hi folks
I just installed Centos 5.5. I heard about the new changes in wifi support. I tried a USB wifi card from Netgear, and It works fine. It didn't en Centos 5.4, so that's great news.
The problem is I have a Linksys WUSB54GC USB wifi card and I want to make it work.
I get this messages in /var/log/messages as soon as I plug it in.

how to label individuals with FactoMiner ?
Dear all,
i'm trying to label specific individuals (supplementary ones) after a PCA with the FactoMiner package. There is not much details (possibilities?) in the R-help of the plot.pca function. There is indeed a "label" parameter but i could only manage to label the supplementary individuals with there "row.names" (i.e. label="indiv.sup") and not with the

Hi Gavin,
I can't work through this right now, but I would start by looking at
the 'hetcor' package to get the correlations, or if they are already
in the return object, build a plot from these.
