It seems to be related to the fact that Asterisk does not normally include authentication with its first REGISTER attempt. Here's the situation: I have a pre-existing, perfectly function tinc VPN of 6 nodes. Works like a champ. All the nodes are cable modem connected linux boxes, with the exception of one static IP elsewhere. The cable modem dynamic IPs are don't change much, and when they do, they update an external dynamic DNS service automagically whose hostnames are referenced in the hosts files.

Is there a way to prevent other users from being able to map a drive from windoww95/NT to anyother user directory on the system. For example I can map to anyone's account on the system and have read only access, is there a way to stop this in either the global or share level? Thanks

I had my asterisk configuration working very well with broadvoice, but it stopped working this afternoon. I plugged the Cisco 7960 phone I used for my origional signup (just a few days before they offered generic BYOD) and it works fine. Is it possible to make asterisk unregister from a proxy? I've seen X-Lite unregister from asterisk, so I know it understands it at some level. Googling all the usual places didn't reveal much. I looked through chan_sip.c, but my untrained eyes didn't reveal anything. Thanks, Jeff
