Ok we have found a better solution. Put everthing back the way it was and make sure that you have this line in your general section of you sip.conf file: srvlookup=yes We have added a SRV entry in the correct place now. So everyrthing should go the correct servers. -james --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). [Asterisk-Users] Lost call on transfer error..... Help
Hi all, Let me explain. I am using Grandstream BT-102 Firmware is quite up to date. My problem is that if I transfer a call. I.e. push transfer, then dial an erroneous extn. i.e. simply make a mistake, and hang up.. The Call I am transferring has gone into MOH, and I am not able to get it back. Using asternic, I can see it is some how still associated with the extn I TRIED to transfer it from, however, I have no way to recover the call, and the call is stuck on MOH forever (Well until he gives up and disconnects.).. How am I suppose to recover this CALL under this circumstance? On my CISCO 7940, I can see the call on the screen and go back and hit RESUME. This is quite a BIG issue in the customer relationship area.. Thanks, James Gardiner jamieg
Also make sure that you have insecure=yes in your friend/peer section of you sip.conf file. Sorry forgot to mention. -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com]On Behalf Of James Jones Sent: Tuesday, July 27, 2004 3:20 AM To: Asterisk User (E-mail) Subject: [Asterisk-Users] broadvoice/asterisk Ok we have found a better solution. Basically you want to remove the Broadvoice entry in your hosts file, and let srvlookup=yes do its job. Insecure=yes should be in your BV context. I had all of that set up correctly, but was still having problems with registration. James suggested I update my Asterisk version as I was running CVS from a month ago. I restarted Asterisk at 11:30 this morning once the new version was compiled, and it has been rock-solid ever since. That is 2.5 hours up, and I was getting registration errors on the CLI every 15 minutes or so. Hope that helps! [Asterisk-Users] broadvoice/asterisk incoming calls problem
This is what my configuration is: xxx is my phone yyy is my secret [general] externip=lexon.ws port=5060 disallow=all allow=ulaw context=from-broad dtmfmode=inband register => xxx:yyy@sip.broadvoice.com tos=0x18 srvlookup=yes [Broadvoice] type=peer username=xxx fromuser=xxx secret=yyy host=sip.broadvoice.com context=from-broad fromdomain=sip.broadvoice.com nat=yes canreinvite=no dtmfmode=inband insecure=yes Incomming calls still fails. NO SOUND AT ALL!!! Bart
i have found you need to have the insecure=yes or insecure=very in your
broadvoice context to get it to work.

Is it still working now? I haven't been able to get it to work since last
night... I all of a sudden lost registration and it refuses to register...
all of their servers are UNREACHABLE...
I know they're working though, I used X-Lite and it worked just fine...
I do have SRV records turned on, but instead of using insecure=very, I
created contexts for each of their machines... That worked up until last
night when EVERYTHING stopped working...
James if you're listening... heeellllppppp :)
