Kudos (and SVG)
..."I would like to thank the authors of R and the R core team for
their great skill and dedication in developing this software, and
to all the members of the R-help mailing list, especially Brian
D. Ripley, for their help."
So, many thanks to all!
Just one final thing: I've published my thesis on the web, right now
only in the PDF format,
( <URL: http://www.digbib.uio.no/publ/astrofysikk/2002/2801/index.pdf >
if anybody is interested) but I'd like to use XHTML+MathML+SVG as well.
tex4ht should fix the XHTML+MathML bit, but I was wondering if anybody
has worked...

Problem with character encoding in SIP channel (ISO vs. UTF-8)
...xt
strings like "M?ller" are not correctly displayed on the receiving phone.
According to RFC 3261 SIP uses UTF-8 encoding. Shouldn't asterisk
convert these characters from ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8 before passing
them to SIP devices?
Best regards
martin

[LLVMdev] Online doxygen out of date?
Hi all,
I'm having a bit of trouble with the online doxygen documentation. As far is I
know, it should reflect current svn trunk. However, it seems out of date. For
example, the ExtractValueInst [1] is not a UnaryInstruction yet and still
takes Value* as indices.
To add to the confusing, the mainpage [2] says it is documentation version
"2.1svn" which seems even more weird.

Nat + Asterisk + Ser (Far end Nat Traversal)
Hello,
I have several * servers behind a SER server (in a local ip range). The
SER server is also publicy reachable. On the other site, I have SIP
clients that are behind another NAT or in the same NAT range as the *
server. Can someone give me some directions/hints etc. on how to make
this work. I think I should be using MediaProxy with SER. But do the SIP
clients need to register at the SER server...

Sub_scribe and a question
...usability and performance in real
use. Moreover, it is perhaps a little silly to compare packages like R or
Splus, mainly intended for statistics with Mathematica, for instance,
designed principally for symbolic mathematics. This is something I want to
think about before releasing this benchmark in public.
A point I must clarify: among the 11 tested packages, my favorite is R,...
by far. But I try to stay objective. I am just a bit puzzled about this
outlier in the results that is the sort() test in R. This is not
representative at all of the performances of R, which are very good, as

Stopping example execution?
Hello, I''m wondering If I am missing something here when creating an example that sets an expecation at the top or beginning of an action but requires you to stub / mock everything that follows.
Example:
I want to test that a certain controller is running a before_filter...thats easy:
- controller.should_receive(:require_user)
- do_get
But now i''ve got to mock / stub
