Asterisk + CRM
Hello,
Anyone aware of any CRM products projects that intagrete with *? Or that
integrate with any telephony products? Is there some open API for such
integration, or are they all proprietory?
Thanks

Use of TCP_CORK instead of TCP_NODELAY
We're abusing icecast in a true narrowcasting setup (personalized stream per
mountpoint). The streams itself are created in a piece of proprietory
(spelling?, i'm dutch) software, icecast merely relays them.
However, the intended endpoint is an embedded device. This device has
trouble with tcp/ip packets not matching the max. packet size (MSS or MSS
minus header). After eleborate testing, we found that using the sockopt

Anyone please make Wine permissive?
...permissive nature help you?
How can I get old BSD release?
1.Some commercial developers will also help you.
2.WINE will be included in documentation of derivatives (if MIT). That will make WINE famous and well-known than now.
3. Some BSD developers can include it in distro.
It will definitely help.
Proprietory development is not a trouble.
Just force them to advertise (Bsd 4-clause)/include copyright notice(MIT/X).
Why not GPL
1.You are not selfish (like the PERSON who wrote it).
2.If you are not the worst developer.
3.If you are good developer.
4.If you really understand what is open source.
5.GPL is...

NEC Univerge
hi * users,
anyone out there ever come across, worked with or heard anything about
NEC's Univerge SV7000 Telephony Server? Link is at
http://www.univerge.nec.com/products/list/sv7000/sv7000.html
I'm just wondering whether it's as flexible, programmable and
configurable as Asterisk.
It also looks like they've got a whole range of IP phones

What is R - A Summary
I wonder whether there is any comment on the following. It is a
summary of a 10 minute contribution that I made to a biostatistical
workshop help yesterday in Sydney. My aim was to highlight the
benefits of the Linux/R development model, in a session with the
title: "How can statistical packages be improved?"

guideline for plug-in to icecast2 server
...Geoff by the way is there any possible ways to add plug-in to
> icecast2 server to stream Wma? regardless of the license problem
Well, for starters, I think the "license problem" would be a major issue in
trying to do this. But apart from that, Windows Media streaming uses its
own proprietory protocol (mms). So someone would have to implement that
before you could do anything else.
As far as I know, there are no unix programs at all that can do anything
with Windows Media apart from decode it, and I doubt there's anyone
interested in developing any.

Some Hardware & Asterisk Applications Questions
...t I have researched in the last month, all this is possible but
differences as to harware preffered & software extensions are there. Please
let me have some of your insights that can make my job less of a trial.
Also, I remember a RAD brochure saying 4k requirement for Voice Compression
on its proprietory device (not VoIP but some sort of point to point device
on leased lines), but during my research its 16k....are there no other
better codecs?
Please guide me.
With best regards.
Sanjay.

Championship Manager 01/02 - invisible mouse
...lls fine and would run properly too were it not for the fact that the mouse is completely invisible when moving into the wine window.
The wine configuration window is fine, it's just the game itself. I've tried all manner of things, from changing the graphics settings, to even uninstalling proprietory graphics drivers and changing settings, but had no joy at all. I've searched the web, and people have reported the same problem, but no solution has been found. The strange thing seems to be that it used to work on much older versions of wine.
Many thanks,
Arthur

ATI Radeon 2600HD + CentOS 5.1 x86_64 = Deadlock
Anyone on the list using an ATI Radeon 2600HD on a x86_64 machine? I
have 3 new Dell Precision T3400 workstations with them in it and the
moment it tries to fire up X using the proprietory driver it completely
deadlocks. I'm looking for help from the community to track this problem.

Problem with cups and samba
I am using RedHat 7.3, Samba 2.2.5 and Cups 1.1.14
I have the printers setup and browseable from a windows client. I can print
to them, and the jobs spool to the directory defined in the smb.conf file,
but they never leave the spool directory.
Any ideas where to start looking for this?

How to prevent virtual machines running twice on the disk images?
I use KVM on two identical centos5 hosts.
I can live migrate the virtual machines from one to the other and it
works great. Once I do this, I can see VM definitions on both hosts
using virt-manager or virsh list --all
On one machine the VM is running, on the other it reports "shut off".
The disk images are accessible to both host machines and I want to have
only one running a the time

Info on UK ISDN30e?
Hi :)
My employer is looking to move a call centre to a new office, and has
been increasingly frustrated with their legacy PBX (call-logging
licensing and hardware upgrade costs). So I've stepped forth as the
Open Source Pedant and suggested Asterisk so we can do all our own
CallerID / call logging / analyses, and make use of IP Phones /
teleworking, etc.
The problem begins in that I only
