[PATCH] VT-d: various initialization fixes
Detect invalid/unsupported configurations in iommu_alloc() - offsets read from hardware must not lead to exceeding a single page (since only that much gets mapped). This covers the apparently not uncommon case of the address pointed to by a DMAR reading as all ones (Linux for example also checks for this). Further correct error handling of that function: Without storing the allocated "struct

[PATCH] HAP: Add global enable/disable command line option
Also, correct a copy&paste error in the documentation. Signed-off-by: Andrew Cooper <andrew.cooper3@citrix.com> --- This patch has been in the XenServer patch queue for a long time. It is more for debugging purposes than anything else, but is still proving to be valuable for tracking down bugs with HVM paging operations. diff -r 5af4f2ab06f3 -r e6ec5b2b717f

[PATCH] Btrfs: add some free space cache tests
We keep hitting bugs in the tree log replay because btrfs_remove_free_space doesn''t account for some corner case. So add a bunch of tests to try and fully test btrfs_remove_free_space since the only time it is called is during tree log replay. These tests all finish successfully, so as we find more of these bugs we need to add to these tests to make sure we don''t regress in

[Fwd: How do I printk <type> correctly?]
Hi Folks, Please read the below post - I keep having to fix up printk-related build warnings, usually because I miss them on x86_64, then someone builds on ia64 or ppc, etc and e-mails me. This is trivial to avoid though - we keep making the same mistake: { u64 block; printk("block: %llu\n", block); } That code above will generate a warning similar to: fs/ocfs2/xxx.c:lineo:

refactoring io_apic.c
OK, I need to do something like this to io_apic.c - split the hardware specific parts out under mach-default, so we can override them for other subarchitectures. It's not finished, needs header file and makefile work. Would you be willing to take this if I do it? I'm not going to bother if you're not, such refactorings are a pig to maintain out of tree. Frankly, io_apic.c needs a
