Hi list! What exactly is the meaning / function of the pridialplan & prilocaldialplan? I've been trying to find out what the different possibilities for these settings are but couldn't find a clear answer. The possible parameters I could find are are : local, unknown, dynamic, national, international and maybe there are more? Thanks!

E1 signalling pridialplan
Hello, I have a little problem with signalling. An E100p is connected to an Alcatel PBX, wich has an E1 to the outside. Located in Germany. zapata.conf: switchtype=euroisdn pridialplan=local prilocaldialplan=local overlapdial=yes signalling=pri_cpe .... With asterisk 1.0.2 I can call from a SIP phone to a phone connected to the Alcatel and the SIP number is correctly displayed at the caller. Let's say SIP phone is 12345, then 12345 is displayed. International calls/pridialplan from a legacy PBX.
...al-span T1 card. I want to place it between the PSTN and my company's legacy PBX. I actually did do that, but international calls from the legacy PBX were having the "011" stripped off *AT* the PBX -- and someone pointed out that the PBX was probably using the Asterisk equivalent of pridialplan. Which makes sense. But as far as I can tell, pridialplan is used to *signal* the PSTN -- but there doesn't appear to be any way to detect it, in Asterisk, from another switch. Is that true? Because, if I can't detect it, I have no other way of determining whether or not a call from the...

pridialplan/prilocaldialplan
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, Can someone explain what the parameters pridialplan and prilocaldialplan are? What do they do and do I need them? I've connected an asterisk box via E1 (sangoma) to an alcatel 4200 pbx. The pbx technican complains about the format of the nr asterisk sends. Asterisk sends all numbers in on piece the pbx expects the numbers devided into internati...

Zapata, Junghanns Card and a leading 0 on inbound calls
...hings are working, the only missing stuff is to add a "0" as a prefix to each incoming call, to make it possible to answer missed call lists. I'm using the 0 as the prefix for outside lines. I've experimented a little with the prefix settings in zapata.conf, but without success: pridialplan=national ;prilocaldialplan=unknown ;pridialplan = unknown ;prilocaldialplan = dynamic nationalprefix = 00 internationalprefix = 000 Is there a way to debug the ISDN messages coming on my D-channel, like it is shown with misdn? I would like to see the dialplan settings coming from the Network side....

Leading '0's and what do 'pri_dialplan', 'pridialplan' and 'prilocaldialplan' in zapata.conf do?
...he following problems: 1 - Outbound dialed numbers had the MSD stripped off So, I issue the command 'Dial(Zap/g1/0123456) and Zap tries to dial '123456'. It took a bit of digging to actually work out what the problem was in the first place, but I managed to resolve this by setting 'pridialplan=unknown' in zapata.conf. 2 - Inbound CallerIDs have the MSD stripped off (only tested with UK numbers, where the leading '0' is removed). I have no idea whether international callerids would be similarly treated. I cannot find any explanation for this 'feature' at all - it does...

pridialplan per call or per channel group?
Hi, Is it possible to set the pridialplan (or prilocaldialplan) on a call-by-call basis, or for a particular PRI channel-group? >From my experimentation so far, it appears to me that the pridialplan and prilocaldialplan are global in zapata.conf, unlike other options such as switchtype, signalling, and context. Pridialplan/ prilocaldialplan
Hi I'm beginner in list. I have doubts about the options pridialplan and prilocaldiaplan in chan_dahdi.conf. I interconnect the Asterisk with a Siemens PBX, but i saw that the changes in the file do not take effect in debug of the span or calling/called number. How to use this options? In that cases to use? Ps.: sorry for the english, i'm brazilian. Thanks --...

BT - ISDN30 - International Calls not working, everything else is fine :(
Dear All, Thank you for taking the time to read this post - I am *confused!* as to why my asterisk setup does not work as it should. I have an ISDN 30 connection for telephony, a Sangoma card, and asterisk installed. Incoming calls, and outgoing calls work 100%. Making an international call, results in silence, or the error message all circuits are busy Numbers being passed to the trunk for

Type Of Number setting (pridialplan) is not effective
Hello, I have an Asterisk system in the UK using ISDN service from BT. My problem is that the called number is always passed to the provider with the Type Of Number declared as ?national? despite pridialplan (and prilocaldialplan) is set to ?unknown?. My questions are: - How can I find out what the effective value is for the above two variables without actually making a call? (I have very limited possibilities to make test calls, as the ISDN lines are connected to a production system from which we pl...
