oplock_break with samba 2.0
...'t know where to post this problem, so I also post it to the ntdom mailing list... Since I upgrade to 2.0beta5, I got a lot of messages like this in log.smb: [1999/01/08 16:30:38, 0] smbd/oplock.c:(734) oplock_break: receive_smb timed out after 30 seconds. oplock_break failed for file GN/previsions/previsions 99/previsions globales 99.xls (dev = 800073, inode = 904801). [1999/01/08 16:31:20, 0] smbd/oplock.c:(804) oplock_break: client failure in break - shutting down this smbd. When this happen, my samba server become very slow and files open by PC users are often lost. I was working wit...

how to run R as a daemon
Hi all, Using R a as a real-time application called by Php for a website, I would like to run one R process only, which would manage user connections. For the time each user who asks for an analysis causes a new R process to start, which is not suitable in prevision of many users. R needs about 30 seconds to run the script which makes the analysis. The problem is that this waiting time is n times more important when n users ask for an analysis... Thanks for any help. Laurent

Proper unix ownership/Permissions for top level share
...is rubbing me the wrong way - I don't think that is how it should be. Could someone elucidate for me what the proper unix ownership/permissions should be for my top level shares? Is there a set of acls I can apply on the unix side as part of my file system creation? I am using Samba 4.1.7 previsioned as a primary domain controller (Active directory, not NT style) -- JD Daniels

Several AD domain servers
Hi, It is possible to assing several AD domain servers on krb5.conf file? The questions is if one of AD servers goes down, it is useful if samba can get authentication through other AD server on domain. Sorry if this question already answered previsously. Domain Server: MS Windows 2003 SP2 Linux Box: SLES 10 SP1 (kernel 2.6.16) Samba version: 3.0.24-2.28 Kerberos version: 1.4.3-19.25 Best

UpdateHostkeys now enabled by default
Hi, I just fixed a couple of corner-cases relating to UpdateHostkeys in git HEAD and have enabled the option by default. IMO this protocol extension is important because it allows ssh clients to automatically migrate to the best available signature algorithms available on the server and supports our goal of deprecating RSA/SHA1 in the future. We would really appreciate your feedback on this

...1-in the "fitted" value of the object, it seems to me that for getting back fitted values, one have to add level, slope and seasonal (or "level" contains already the two other ones) 2-i am really circumspect about the results of "KalmanForecast" because I get some previsions which seem to be not seasonal. Does the forecast concern only the "level" (and in this case, how is it possible to get real prediction as the seasonality and the slope are not forecasted?)?? Thanks in advance for any help, with my best, erik. PS: packages dse seem to be very appealin...

Traceroute equivalent
Is there a traceroute equivalent in the VoIP world? I would like to see the route a call takes after it gets to the gateway. Basically showing all the hops until it reaches it's destination or PSTN termination. -Dave

Asterisk Cluster Scenario
...oke". There are lots of little call-centers (~15 ops), phisically separated, that must appears as a single "Big Virtual Call-Center". The call-center is inbound and outbound. Initially the "Virtual Call-Center" will be composed of 15 small call-centers (= ~230 ops), but the prevision is to grow to ~800 ops. Asterisk must work as B2BUA, because the customer does not want the call-centers contact directly the upstream SIP providers. Asterisk server must also record the call and, maybe, do some transcoding. The single asterisks instances talk each-other with DUNDi/IAX2 to pass t...

[LLVMdev] Subregister liveness tracking
...access registers in different ways resulting in wider or narrower accesses. For example on ARM NEON one of the single precision floating point registers is called 'S0'. You may also access 'D0' on arm which is the combination of 'S0' and 'S1' and can store a double prevision number or 2 single precision floats. 'Q0' is the combination of 'S0', 'S1', 'S2' and 'S3' (or 'D0' and 'D1') and so on. Before register allocation llvm machine code accesses values through virtual registers, these get assigned to physical r...
