The primary issue is that the source does not exactly follow validation (I have no control of this). The stream switches from a prerecorded segment, to a live segment, back to a prerecorded segment. I believe the live segment is missing a B.O.S. packet, which is creating some unintended effects. The audio ends up playing, but it is very distorted until it switches back to a prerecorded segment. Hi all: I am managing a radio station that has 7 streams. I am using icecast, ices and ezstream on the streams and overall it is working pretty well. One of the streams is an old time radio stream and I use ezstream to run the prerecorded shows. The streams are 128K mp3 streams. Also this station is running on a VPS using Ubuntu 14.04. I use a three tear setup along these lines where I work, one playing a backup loop of programming, one which relays a live stream if it is available and one which plays prerecorded programs and repeats. The prerecords play on the primary mount, which falls back to the live relay and this to the backup loop. Works well. Geoff.
