...formation; but something seems to have gone 'backwards' in the later pre-releases of 6.03 regarding network booting.
below are results of me testing - i did each a few times to make sure they are valid results.
hope it helps identify something that's gone awry ?
so far, 6.03 pre11 and pre13 (excluding efi32) seem most stable for PXE/EFI Network booting....

Xen 3.3.1 + Windows 2008 x64 + GPLPV 0.9.12-pre13 = corruption?
Hi James,
I''m testing GPLPV 0.9.12-pre13 on Windows 2008 x64, and found some
interesting results :
- The drivers are NOT signed, even though I''ve install certs. Had to
use F8 on boot.
- both QEMU and Xen block device are active, which usually means
corruption is coming. Is this a known issue?

SYSLINUX 2.20-pre13 - RELEASE CANDIDATE
...m Nathan Laredo, I cribbed my way though porting the
Win32 installer on my own accord. Thus, I believe we now have something
which can be called a release candidate. Given how much stuff managed
to make it in, after all, I'm seriously considering calling it 3.00, but
for now it's 2.20-pre13.
So, everyone that can, please test it out.
In particular, I have not yet had a chance to test out any of the following:
- EXTLINUX on a file which requires triple indirects (17MB+ with 1K
blocks);
- SYSLINUX with FAT32;
- Any of the above with EDD (hunting for a machine with a bootable

SYSLINUX 2.09-pre13
Another SYSLINUX prerelease (I really need to get this out the door...)
with additional menu system improvements from Murali.
Murali: I made some pretty sizable changes to heap.c. I hope that's ok
with you.
ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/boot/syslinux/Testing/
This is definitely a release candidate. Only bug fixes until 2.09 is out.

Syslinux-4.06-pre13
OK, another prelease. This one is looking pretty good and the shortlog
is appended below.
Any testing that you can do would be greatly appreciated. In particular,
Matt, could you try out this prerelease and see whether your disabled
entries are no longer highlighted/selectable?
If things stay looking good over the next few days we can hopefully cut
a 4.06 final release at the weekend or early

Doubling network and disk with gplpv 9.12.pre13 in Russian Windows 2003
Hi James Harper and others,
I seen that problem already discussed early, but maybe it help you make
hiding qemu devices when install gplpv driver. For now, when install
gplpv i has not working qemu disk driver (gplpv works) and not working
gplpv network (i think i can disable realtek network card and then gplpv
will work).
When you discuss German and French windows versions - you ask about

packets. PXELINUX also doesn't respond to ICMP echo (ping) or ARP requests
but repeatedly sends ARP requests for the gateway, as if it doesn't receive
the replies. When on the same subnet, Shantanu reports that it seems to
hang on the request of pxelinux.cfg/default.
I also tried 4.10-pre13 to no avail.
This makes me think it goes deaf/ignorant for some reason. My next tests
are TFTP on same subnet, HTTP on same and different subnets then a debug
build with the serial port.

Re: Benchmarking GPL PV Drivers for Windows between0.9.11-pre13 and 0.10.0.69
Pasi,
Thanks for putting that wiki page together for the dom0 kernels - it's
something that has long been needed for pulling together information on
those kernels. I know it's always a chore for me to find info on how to
get/build a dom0 kernel if I don't like the one that's included with a
distribution.
Thanks!

Is vesa.c32 expecting some kind of argument?

NLS for smbmount
I'm using Urban Widmark's smbfs/Linux kernel patch (2.2.14)
to display iso-8859-1 characters in file names on NT mounts.
The patch works fine for me; I'm only wondering if and when
it will be integrated into the Linux kernel. After all, NLS
is an essential feature and not just nice-to-have for all
non-anglophone users...
Yes, I know this is a bit off-topic on this list, but there

I´ve updated my windows 2k3 GPLPV drivers from 0.9.9 to 0.9.12-pre13.
But now, i have two xen block devices; (of course, one of them is not
working and is marked with the yellow exclamation).
How can i fix it, or how can i uninstall the GPLPV drivers in order to make
a clean install?
Thanks

default64 patch?
I stumbled across the following patch and wondered if it wouldn't be a
good idea to have it included.
http://foldingcd.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/*checkout*/foldingcd/trunk/folding_cd/patches/syslinux-3.51-64bit.patch?revision=5
It adds a default64 keyword and detection of a 64bit processor. It could
be useful for mixed environments.
The patch is against 3.51, but looks like it would port

I''ve just uploaded 0.9.11-pre12 of the GPL PV drivers for Windows.

distribution logic to improve performance.
Under windows 2003 I can now get network speeds of 1-2Gbit/second TX and
