Joining forces with the Network UPS Tools
Hi Powermen ;-)
I recently came across the Powerman project
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/powerman/), pointed by Tony Merenda,
from Opengear (thanks Tony). Congrats for your work in this area!
I've thought a bit about Powerman and NUT since then...
NUT currently supports hosts of UPSs and few PDUs (RPCs), and provides
tons of features:

Which driver should be used for PowerMan 2000 Real Smart ?
Hi, folks!
Which driver should be used for PowerMan 2000 Real Smart?
Backpro 1000 Plus is successfully monitored by genericups/upstype=4,
but this's not working for RealSmart2000. Somebody wrote in blogs
at http://k001.livejournal.com/270848.html that RealSmart
can be monitored using "fentonups" driver but this is false on my box.

megatec driver floods syslog with "UPS lost/re-established" messages
Hello,
I have bought Powerman Optima 500 Plus UPS. While this
product might be unknown outside Russia, it is shipped with
megatec software and obviously works with megatec driver in
NUT. besides the following problems (I think they are
caused by one reason):
1) megatac driver is able to load and detect UPS only on

...-package branch
- commit the PDUs support
- some more update related to Eaton
We will then have some more update to do on:
- the packaging/ files to be sync'ed,
- the documentation (will be kept as plain text for 2.4 ; html postponed to 2.6)
The remainder, until the -pre stage, will be:
- the Powerman support (through the powerman driver) for more PDUs
- the possible RRD integration into upslog
- complete the NUT Packaging Standard (doc/packaging.txt)
??? dummy-ups repeater (nut client) and meta (composed of several devices) ???
- the Python PyNut class integration

I reserve the right to commit things on that point during the pre

Please ping me back.

Adding PDU support to NUT
I've recently been working a bit on adding PDU
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_distribution_unit) support in NUT.
Some of you might have seen the Powerman thread, which also deals with
adding more PDUs support:
http://powerman.sourceforge.net/supported.html
The result is that we now have support for 2 Eaton | Powerware ePDUs
(Managed and Monitored iirc, check http://www.epdu.com).
I plan on adding the 2 other models soon.
It is using snmp-ups and I&...

the same can be applied to many driver's headers since this goes back
to pre autoconf/automake full support.
so I created quite a bunch of fake headers just containing the
driver's version, and just to satisfy to auto deps generation...

IVT SCD support status
...he status. looking at the last thread,
it's a bit unclear... I'm also interested an upsc output.
looking at the driver, I'm also inclined in moving ups.status into
device.status (with 2.6 as a transition period).
ups and scd present the status the same way. and pdu could present it the
Powerman way, ie condensed like: off (1,2,4) on (3,5-8)
cheers,
Arnaud

Triplite Lock's when on battery
Hey all,
I have a triplite 1050 and when I did a test today I saw that the
battery bounce from 100 to 80 to 90 to 91 percent before UPSD lost its
connection to the UPS. The server then decided that it was time to shut
off.
The UPS sat at 91% for about 5 min before UPSD lost its connection, so
I'm not sure if it wasn't updating its battery.charge... I wasn't sure
if this is
