wait for rings, answer on outdial via SIP
Hello,
I am working on an outdial project and the Asterisk box is connected
behind a PBX via SIP. When a call from the Asterisk box is routed out
over the PRI attached to the PBX I am not getting proper call progress.
The PBX is indicating that the call is answered while it is still
ringing at the far end.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should go about waiting for a
variable number

Access specific port of Mediatrix 1204 from Asterisk
I am attempting to use a Mediatrix 1204 to interface to multizone paging
from Asterisk. I have 4 different paging interfaces and want to connect
each of those 4 to an FXO port on the Mediatrix. The desired result is
to be able to issue some SIP dial string from asterisk, seize the FXO
port on the Mediatrix and then have a speech path.
I am able to place calls over the Mediatrix when it's

Mitel 5055 phone
Hello,
I have seen the Mitel 5055 SIP phone mentioned a few times on the list, does
anyone have any wonderful or horrible things to say about it? We are
thinking about using them because they have many more programmable buttons
than the Snom200 phones and are about $70 cheaper.
Thanks,

A request from the CentOS Project
...for telling someone what you think of them
and their question. Believe me ... I am speaking from much experience
here :P ? but there is also a time and a place for at least trying to be
polite first.
Please try to think of the community areas of the CentOS Project as you
would think of your front porch, front yard, or the park by your house
where you take your children to play. Try to interact with the people as
you would if they asked you a question face to face in those settings.
Be courteous and use proper etiquette to make your points and if someone
will not listen to reason then we (the Cent...

Sphinx
Hi. I just started trying to play with Sphinx. I followed their site as far as running sphinx-server. It is listening on the default port. I copied sphinx2-simple to another file and changed sphinx2-continuous to sphinx2-server.
So, I ran eagi-sphinx-test under asterisk. What exactly is it supposted to do? Here's what I get:

Is there any Asterisk controllable thermostat?
I am wondering if there is any such thermostat available which can be
controlled from Asterisk. Like you call your home pbx, dial some extension,
e.g. 333 and it asks to set the temperature, you enter a temperature, and it
sets the thermostat to that temperature. This thermostat will be very
useful, e.g. when you're coming back home after a few days and now its
snowing and you want home to be

OT: Best DB
I know this is a bit off topic but we are using Asterisk :)
Since this list is full of tech gurus w/ all different sorts of backgrounds,
I thought I would get the best opinions here.
We have several different switches and other telecom equipment at our
facilities which all have their own proprietary cdr platforms, which are
rather limited. The company I work for is looking to develop their

[PATCH v3 00/22] drm: Clean up VBLANK callbacks in struct drm_driver
VBLANK handlers in struct drm_driver are deprecated. Only legacy,
non-KMS drivers are supposed to used them. DRM drivers with kernel
modesetting are supposed to use VBLANK callbacks of the CRTC
infrastructure.
This patchset converts all DRM drivers to CRTC VBLANK callbacks and
cleans up struct drm_driver. The remaining VBLANK callbacks in struct
drm_driver are only used by legacy drivers.
