...of all, The HP LJ 8000 does not work with the PostScript Driver. The printer will work fine with PS from windows directly, but when printing through samba the job just dissappears. I don't get any error messages at all. The PCL driver works for manually adding the driver as well as using the Point N Print feature. I'd like to use the postscript driver, but the PCL seems to work fine so I'm not too concerned with that. However the Xerox printers do not want to play nice with Samba at all. While this doesn't relate specifically to Samba, I need to do this in a netlogon .bat file in a Samba domain. In my network, I have a printer hooked to a JetDirect so that it is a TCP/IP printer.
