Irregular 3d objects with rgl
Hello, While exploring if rgl is along the lines of what I need, I checked out demo("rgl") and didn't find quite what I'm looking for, and am therefore seeking additional help/suggestions. The application is geared towards displaying a 3D rendering of a contaminant plume in the subsurface with the following highlights: Once the plume was rendered as a 3D object, a

Networking issues with OpenSolaris/Dom0 or VMware Fusion
Hi: I got OpenSolaris 2008.05 running as dom0 under VmWare fusion on my MacBook pro. Using the instructions from Dipleep''s blog http://blogs.sun.com/dkumar/entry/how_to_create_domu_in Everything seems okay except the networking. When booting OpenSolaris (without dom0) the pcn0 interface works just fine but when booting Solaris xVM version them pcn0 does not work (ie) I get failures

Re: #130041: xmms-flac: breaks periodically
Well, this proves it. I've been running XMMS for hours after deleting the playlist entries without times associated with them. I guess I'm not going to re-flac my files (<sigh type="relief" />). This is still a bug in the Flac decoder plugin. Under Windows, the error is something about stream decoder and "%d". This should be a pretty simple thing to fix -

Hi all I just write some documentation on wine in a french research and academic site about free software. If you read french you can see it here -> http://www.projet-plume.org/fiche/wine and you could tell me if i'm wrong on some points. I need also some wine users that could read and correct the informations i write on that site, but these people need to belong to the french research

[LLVMdev] LLVM Expansions
perhaps one should ask why a compiler has not compiled itself to binary and requires a 3rd party compiler to exist. Someone please send me lli that works on a pxa270 (which has never been tested?) and make sure it runs in PocketPC(win) so I dont have to wait another 20 hours to compile a damned compiler. Using tcltk to display jpeg images
Dear R Helpers, Does anyone know how to use tcltk to display jpeg images? The manual says that one must use Tk_PhotoCreateImageFormat to register the jpeg image handler. The "ActiveTcl User Guide" (http://support.serv.ch/lang/tcl/img/doc/img-jpeg.html) says:- "The package img::jpeg is a sub-package of Img. It can be loaded as a part of the complete Img support, via package require

Sometimes the direction of UI development in gnome really angers me. For example, when selecting a font for the gedit text editor - there is no way to ask it to only show monospace fonts. It's a fricken text editor, that should be the default - meaning you have to do something special to get fonts shown that aren't monospace. Seriously, who is in charge with the UI design in gnome?
