ActivateKeyboardLayout
...rd layout supported. Call ignored.
Typing is a major pain. There is a huge delay from keypress to the letter appearing on screen,
though the correct characters are typed.
Keyboard is a Microsoft natural pro, language is english.
What do I need to change?
I use KDE and have tried canadian/english. PC101 PC105 but all that does is
change it to keyboard map not defined or some such and more about setting keyboard
to brazilian lol :-)
XFree86 is set at PC101 and US.

different "encrypt passwords" in virtual servers?
Hi,
is it possible to use "encrypt passwords=yes" in the main server
configuration and "encrypt passwords=no" in the virtual server
configuration?
My current smb.conf looks like this:
workgroup = AGPC101
netbios name = AG-pc101-Server
server string = PC101-Server
# The include file contains encrypt passwords=no
include = /usr/local/samba-302/lib/smb.conf.dos
encrypt passwords = yes
Unfortunately I can't connect to either of the server.

Samba with winbind setup but some glitches
...Domain+Username,
and password.. but i get a
id: cannot find name for group ID 10000
though it seems to log me in okay, creates a home share under
/home/Domain/Username
i can lookup any netbios name on my lan alright, and view the shares, but if
i startup X, open konqueror (KDE) and type
smb://pc101 (or whatever netbios name) i get a prompt for Username and
Password (even though i'm already logged in as a domain user). Fine, i
enter the username and password, then konq lists the shares on that machine
(correctly!) - i attempt to open a share that i know i have access to with
this login na...
