CentOS 7 + KDE - default keyboard layout?
Hi,
I'm currently fiddling with CentOS 7 and KDE 4.14, and I must say, I'm
pleasantly surprised. This is one of the cleanest implementations of KDE
I've ever seen, and with some tweaking (a lot, in fact) this can be
turned into a highly functional desktop with all the bling and bells and
whistles.
But right now, I have some minor problems to solve. First things first.

I did the following:
in /boot/grub/menu.lst I added/replaced KEYTABLE=us-acentos
in /etc/sysconfig/keyboard I have this:
KEYTABLE="us-acentos"
MODEL="pc105"
LAYOUT="us"
KEYBOARDTYPE="pc"
VARIANT="intl"
my host system is Windows; and for connecting to Linux terminal I use PuTTY
in Windows I have configured German keyboard layout;
what would someone expect, when using PuTTY to connect to the above
configured CentOS...

Recently upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04 and not liking unity I swtiched to xubuntu but was perturbed to find my World of Warcraft FPS drop from 36 FPS in Ubuntu 10.10 and Ubuntu 11.04 'ubuntu classic' down to 3/4 FPS xubuntu.
Again, to confirm it wasn't anything in the upgrade I made sure that the FPS is as normal in 11.04 when I select 'Ubuntu Classic' when logging in rather
