R 4.0.0 rebuild status

You guessed right. :-) Apologies for not verifying this before but while controlling the build processes my attention span becomes that of a toddler. :-) I do not know if the process will succeed or not. The extreme example was R-pbdZMQ that took more than a day building. The issue was with the testing stage in s390x where a test with ports were stuck. I guess that there was a long timeout. > I should be using that instead of the RPM package names. Again you guessed right, that was the main idea. :-) As I told above and to...

[R] Problems when trying to install and load package "rzmq"
Hi, Paul. I maintian the rzmq project. love to get it running on windows, but zmq doesn't play nicely with R's mingw. These guys have taken the approach of building the entire zmq library inside the R package: https://github.com/snoweye/pbdZMQ I suggest you give it a try. or if you want to attempt to compile libzmq sources for windows w/ R's mingw, that would be welcome. -Whit On Tue, Jan 3, 2017 at 9:36 AM, peter dalgaard <pdalgd at gmail.com> wrote: > Possibly so. > > However, the ZeroMQ libraries do exist for W...

[R] Problems when trying to install and load package "rzmq"
Possibly so. However, the ZeroMQ libraries do exist for Windows, so it might be possible to get the package working there. However, CRAN probably won't have the libraries, so cannot produce a binary package, and it is also quite possible that the package author is not a Windows person. At the very least, you'll need some familiarity with the Windows toolchain and be prepared to apply a
