Attempting to boot xVM dom0 for the first time on a Toshiba Tecra M2 running 75a. Getting a panic immediately after selecting xVM from the grub menu: panic[cpu0]/thread=f502c020: Processor does not support PAE This is a 2000 MHz Pentium-M, which I thought was PAE-capable.

What about idea not to *add* pae versions of xen kernels, but to *replace* non-pae versions with pae versions? Rationale: - not increase in archive size or linux-2.6 package build time, - this will improve compatimility with other distros (consider scenario when running FC or RHEL in domU; these distros do ship only pae xen...

Hi, I''ve got a brand spankin new dell r710 with loads of memory on it, except that I really want it to behave more like an older machine with only 4G of RAM. I''ve been trying to compile a dom0 without PAE for it and can''t seem to have much success. Hi, I was wondering if anyone would know the cons of running a PAE kernel...? I have a 4GB pc and was wondering if it was worth going the PAE way to gain those exta 700MB... In the past, I heard that these 700MB were normally reserved for bios or chipset stuff... And that running in PAE would slow down some processes. By the way, I know 64 bits would solve this...
