Problem with Sieve Vacation
...on and uses the :addresses options with his email address
(tuser at hostname), the response is also sent, if a mail to
testuser at hostname is sent.
in the postfix master.cf the line for deliver is
flags=DRhu user=vmail:vmail argv=/usr/local/libexec/dovecot/deliver -f
${sender} -d ${recipient} -a ${original_recipient}
is this a bug, or do i have some quirks in my configuration?

sieve sending vacation message from vmail@ns1.domain.tld
I have a server running centos-release-7-2.1511.el7.centos.2.10.x86_64
with dovecot version 2.2.10. I am also using roundcube for webmail.
when a vacation filter (reply with message) is created in roundcube it
adds a rule to managesieve.sieve in the user's mailbox. everything
works fine except the reply comes from vmail at ns1.domain.tld instead of
user at domain.tld. ns1.domain.tld

assigned to the user?

Embeding a path in address extensions
...anges everyday, but it will always be numeric if that helps.
dovecot get the mail from postfix:
dovecot unix - n n - - pipe flags=DRhu
user=vpopmail:vchkpw argv=/usr/local/libexec/dovecot/dovecot-lda -f
${sender} -d ${user}@${nexthop} -m ${extension} -a ${original_recipient}
Would it make more sense (or is it even possible) to split the extension in postfix or to do something with sieve? Or is there a character I can use in the extension that tells dovecot to create a path?
Even though I am using a maildir structure for the backups, this "account" never...

simple steps with sieve
Today is my first day with sieve, so be gentle :) I'm trying to set up a
pretty webmail interface to our Dovecot 1.2.4 server using roundcube.
The managesieve config + roundcube 'managesieve' plugin work fine, and
I'm able to use roundcube's UI to generate .dovecot.sieve files.
We use winbind + LDAP lookups to do some exotic mail rewriting...
ultimately user.name at domain.com
