optionnal arguments to ntlm_auth helper
Hello,
I'm setting up (at least I try) to set up network services with single sign on.
I could build and configure dovecat to use samba's ntlm_auth helper to achieve ntlm authentication of imap users.
The point is, I wanted to restrict which users could actually authenticate through ntlm. The ntlm_auth helper has this ability with the --require-membership-of=... command line parameter.

pam_smbpass.so + samba300RC2 + LDAP
We've got the 'ldap auth sync = yes' working perfectly, but we'd like to have
the SMB's passwords updated via passwd an PAM aware apps.
We tryed pam_smbpass.so but without any effects no matter of the different
required, sufficient or optionnal keywords in the /etc.pam.d/passwd :
passwd sufficient pam_ldap.so
passwd optionnal pam_smbpass.so audit nullok use_authtok

[PATCH v3 0/5] hvmloader: Make ROM dependencies optional
This patch set mainly allows the user to build a seabios or rombios only
version of hvmloader.
In addition, when building a seabios only hvmloader, Option ROMs like
vgabios and etherboot are no longer required, and therefore can be disabled
from the build. Dependency on the bcc compiler can also be avoided the
same way.

loop over this welcome message, but I find this not optimal because most
of the time there's no listener. Is there anything better, maybe with
aliases ?
Is there a way to verify the quality of the transmission or benchmark it
without having to listen to the stream and optionnally produce a graph
showing transmission errors: ideally I'd want to simulate a number of
simultaneous listeners. I've tried with ab but is it really the same as
listeners like mpg123 or winamp ? I have to be sure that a certain number
of clients can listen from another point in our wan.

Current database abstraction effort ?
...ound a few references to the way the FreeRadius people did it, and
I would probably make something similar, although there a a few things
in their design that I would make otherwise.
Finally, Asterisk uses the db1 library to store some local dynamic
data. The db.h interface could be kept as-is and optionnally work with
this new database backend for tasks that do not require full SQL
syntax (although a there shall be a way to specify if the caller is
expecting its data to be local or shared amongst servers).

hdd as well as have made ext3 partitions to the hdd. I have 2

Call Transfer Problem
hi All,
We are working on Soft-PBX using Asterisk. This relates to CALL TRANSFERRING aspects of Asterisk.
We were able to do one type of call transfering, ie, the called person can transfer the original call to another person.
but we were unable to do the other, that is, call initiator him/her self couldn't transfer the call. Eventhough the documentation for Dial application intructs to

I am just studying Asterisk now and have a question. Is it possible to
force anyone who enters a queue into voice mail after they have been in the

Transfer of queue call
Hello,
hope somebody can help. I have setup a queue which maps to some
Budgetone SIP phones. When a call is answered, the # key to transfer
a call does not work. Everything else regarding the queue works fine.
Is there a way to activate it? Maybe something like the t option in
the Dial application.
Thanks in advance,
Christian.

Cookbook/HowTo for using XEN to create a complete DMZ?
Hi Folks,
XEN seems to me to be the ideal partner to create a complete DMZ with
firewall, router, "Bastios Host(s)" etc within a single PC.
So far, I haven''t found any cookbook or how to (at least for the beginning).
Anyone knows of such thing?
Regards
Falko

LINUX BASED CLIENT UNABLE TO JOIN LINUX PDC with LDAP
Hello.
I have some problems, with a new samba configuration.
I want to setup a SAMBA PDC with ldap authentification, following an HOWTO found on the web.
I used this howto with success on OPENSUSE 10.1 with a X86 processor and I have used it a lot of time (windows 2000 clients).
Now I use OPENSUSE 11.3.
And I test this new configuration with two new PC running X64 processor running linux.

Hi Jean-Marc, Alfred and Greg,
Are you receiving the mails from IETF about draft-ietf-avt-rtp-speex
The mails are not coming from AVT mailing list, but I think we are
all 3 part of a minimal list (draft-ietf-avt-rtp-speex at tools.ietf.org)
dedicated to latest discussion about the draft.
I have answered some questions, but there are small changes and adaptation

TRANS.TBL files on Win95 fileserver
I have a small LAN in my basement, with my PC running RH5 Linux and a Win95 PC
connected by Samba. Everything works fine, but when I smbmount a CD (burned
with xcdroast) from the Linux box (CD is in the Win95 machine) I do not get the
proper filenames. All files are uppercase, and the TRANS.TBL files appear to be
ignored. I have tried playing with name mangling, but it didn't help. Is this a
