Resilver hanging?
How can I diagnose why a resilver appears to be hanging at a certain percentage, seemingly doing nothing for quite a while, even though the HDD LED is lit up permanently (no apparent head seeking)? The drives in the pool are WD Raid Editions, thus have TLER and should time out on errors in just seconds. ZFS nor the syslog however were reporting any IO errors, so it weren''t the disks.

livestreams, anyone have good success ?
Sounds like a sound driver issue. Might want to try the SMP version of OSS (www.opensound.com). Do other sound apps work OK? -bg > On Sat, 20 Oct 2001, Akos Maroy wrote: > > /me cries, bummer deal. > Yes, running as root. > The load was in the 'teens as I remember, I looked @ that too. > One CPU was like 15% and the other 11%, something like that. > 2.2.19ext...

Audio in OpenSolaris 2009.06 x86
...g Winecfg, under the Audio tab, there is no list of available driver types (OSS etc). Pressing the "Test Sound" button gives me a "Audio Test Failed!" dialogue. No audio is present in Unreal. I've successfully installed OSS in OpenSolaris (http://opensolaris.org/os/project/opensound/), OSSv4.0 is available via GNOME and audio output to every other app seems just fine. I kinda figured that if WINE supported OSS everything would be hunky-dory but I guess I'm missing something. The Opensolaris Wiki page here simply makes reference to a manual build of ESound being required,...

Re: Audio in OpenSolaris 2009.06 x86
Thanks all - apparently Opensound was integrated into b115 of SXCE (running b118 at the moment), so I understand assuming the application can be built successfully I guess everything should be rocking and rolling. Doesn't look as if this process is entirely straightforward gathering by the activity of another forumite who see...

MP3 decoding, fading and streaming at the same time
...nge yet) or even two Linux servers ;-)) I wonder if there is another easier way to do it without two soundcards. I MUST have fade-in/fade-out capabilities, and I currently use the card mixer to do that. I tried i.e. feeding Line-out and line-in of the same (duplex) Soundcard, but looks like the opensound audio driver cannot be open simultaneosly by two applications (liveice should only read, mpg123 should only write to the sound driver). Any idea or suggestion to avoid having two sound cards to do what I need to do ? Or how to fade in / fade out without using the card' mixer, while playing...

Directory listings
I apologize if this has already been covered, i tried searching the archives with no results (no results for any search in fact). I am getting listed on shoutcast now after update to 1.3.11, but only one of two streams is listed. I'm still not getting listed on icecast. I tried the others in the config file, didn't work. Anyone know other directories to touch? Thanks, Jeff
