TDM OnHook/OffHook
My TDM400P w/ 4 FXO cards seems to have trouble with onhook/offhook switching. It dials perfectly, but does not seem to be changing the onhook/offhook state appropriately. It changes sometimes, but it's not really reliable. For example: When I booted the machine, it started as onhook. It remained "onhook" through the entire first call...

Ztmonitor values when zap channel is onhook
...e source of the random echo on our shiny new asterisk install, I have been using ztmonitor on the TDM400p channels for the good part of today. I have 2 TDM400p cards with 8 FXO modules and 6 pots lines connected to them (last 2 channels are unused but configured in zaptel). Even when the lines are onhook, the Tx values settle down to 0 but the Rx values still jump up and down. For some lines the values vary around 440, for others around 250 and for one of the unused FXO ports, its around 97 all the time. With txgain/rxgain set to 0.0, call volumes were considerably low. Hence, I have txgain set to...

Germany specific settings for Grandstream ATA286 - Polarity reversal, impedence and onhook voltage
Hi, the new Grandstream release for the ATAs allows the setting of the FXS impedence, the Onhook Voltage and the Polarity Reversal. Anyone know how these should be set in Germany? -- Best regards Peer Oliver Schmidt

x100p offhook/onhook states
Hi, I'm having an interesting problem with my card. It seems to work fine, for the most part. When I first load the module and asterisk, it detects the line in the on-hook state. However, after the first phone call, zap show channel 1 lists it as being off-hook. During subsequent calls, the card is listed as being on-hook, and when it's not used -- off-hook. There are also some weird

On-Hook ADSI
Hello list, I have reason to believe that ADSI can be spoken to phones even when they're onhook. Is this true? Does anyone know? Right now, I'm having trouble figuring out how to do anything to an onhook channel other than ring it. Does this require a magic application and some serious voodoo? Any pointers? I got onto this idea because I noticed that whenever I got voice mail on a c...

Adtran TA750 MWI problem
I recently set up Asterisk with an Adtran TA750. All is well except the phones do not show the MWI. I have configured zapata.conf properly, as all phones will receive a stutter dial tone if there is a message waiting in it's assigned mailbox. Does anybody know how I might fix this problem? Thank you for your time __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! SiteBuilder - Free,

Linksys SPA962 with SPA932 unexpected reboots
We are having an issue with the SPA962/932 combo where the phone and the sidecar will reboot unexpectedly ? could be onhook, could be on a call, doesn?t seem to matter. I read that certain early firmware revisions could cause this so I?m running what was a week ago the newest available (5.1.18). A call to Linksys support suggested that I ensure that the phones are using a recent firmware version (there?s one newer rel...

Telephony keypad
Does anybody know if there are any external telephone-keypads for sale anywhere? (containing the keys 0-9, *, # and onhook/offhook would do) I am looking for a keypad to control a softphone and would prefer the controls to be in the physical world instead of as a window. Sincerely, Markus Hakansson

1.6.1 + TDM840 FSK MWI problem
Hi, Using 1.4.26.1 & DAHDI 2.2.0.2, FSK VMWI devices off a TDM840 work fine. With 1.6.1.[45] & same DAHDI, instead of the FSK spill I get a line polarity reversal. Stutter dialtone is generated as expected. Has anyone else seen this? Is there anything special I need to do for 1.6.1 to make FSK MWI work? Thanks, --Barry

Change RX Signalling Bits in Dahdi drivers
Greeting, I am trying to setup PLAR signalling in asterisk. I have modified the FXSLS TX bits in dahdi-base.c on line 2580, and I can make calls. .sig_type = DAHDI_SIG_FXSLS, .bits[DAHDI_TXSIG_ONHOOK] = DAHDI_BITS_ABCD, /*changed by for PLAR*/ .bits[DAHDI_TXSIG_OFFHOOK] = (0), /*changed by for PLAR*/ .bits[DAHDI_TXSIG_START] = DAHDI_BITS_ABCD, /*changed by for PLAR*/ When I got to change the rx, its a bit more complex. I have learned from this list that dahdi_rbsbits() handles the rx bits...

Newbie with 12sp+
Hi I have problem with Asterisk an 12sp+ phone. Asterisk's skinny implementation doesn't correctly processes 'onhook' event from phone, so voice channel stays opened and no new calls can be received by phone. What i'm doing wrong? :) -- Denis Chapligin

chan_sccp patches
..._modes - Fixed Channel on Answer - Removed sccp_channel_disconnect_null; rewrite of the disconnect logic. That was causing random ast lockups - sk_onhold: prevent a segmentation fault when there are no bridged calls. It happens when you put on hold voicemails or playback channels - now we can put onhook when a call is on hold (no hangup needed) - added sccp_dev_set_activeline function. to do list - when you put on hold, put onhook and resume using the softkey, the phone is working, but it should light up the speaker led. Easy to fix, I had no time today - We need to call sccp_dev_set_activeline...

analog phone connects to zaptel fxoks is beeping
...nect to a WCTDM card. It used to work fine. Now recently, after several conf change and power restart, it stops working. Whenever I pickup the phone, instead of hearing the dial tone, I hear a busing beeping tone, like a machine gun is firing. :) However, from asterisk console, I do see a a OffHook/OnHook message, but whatever I dial in the phone keypad seems not recognized by asterisk, and it doesn't print out any messages. What could cause the problem? Any clues? Highly appreciate your help. Michael -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://lists....

'restart when convenient'
...t's never convenient to restart the server. My question: how can i tell *why* it's not convenient to restart the server? It used to be some colleague left the receiver OffHook or something like that, but even when i'm fairly certain there's no activity on my pbx, all receivers are OnHook, Asterisk won't restart. How can i debug why Asterisk thinks it isn't convenient to restart? Thanks! -Sander. -- | Hey.. I'm done talkin'.
