RhostsAuthentication + nondefault port doesn't work?
Hello all, It seems that RhostsAuthentication does not work on non-default port no matter what when connecting from OpenSSH (2.1.1, 2.2.0 tried) either with protocol 1 or protocol 2 (shouldn't work either..). _However_ when connecting with SSH.COM Ltd's ssh, RhostsAuthentication works just fine! Checking the port number of ssh client you can see that OpenSSH doesn't assign

Apache 1.1.1 overflow
...Vulnerabilities in the Apache httpd There is a serious vulnerability in the cookies module of the Apache httpd, version 1.1.1 and earlier, which makes it possible for remote individuals to obtain access to systems running the Apache httpd. Only sites which enabled mod_cookies, a nondefault option, are vulnerable. Technical Details ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The function make_cookie, in mod_cookies.c uses a 100 byte buffer, new_cookie to store information used to track web site users. The hostname, which with even the most cautious of resolver libraries, can be up to 255 characters long, is...

Is there ping2?
...hat eth1 broadcast arp request for nonlocal address ?!? Tables for both interfaces are setup correctly and it seems that ping checks only main table. At same time when haven''t default route via provider and that provider is up, all communication initialized by peers on Internet going on nondefault interface, even pings, works OK. When the default routes manually sets back to go thru both ones it comes back to normal . One more strange thing is that my script works OK for over one year until I have to change netmask and default gw for one provider. TIA, Darko

How to add values on the axes of the 3D bi-variable lrm fit?
Dear r-list, When I try to plot the following 3D lrm fit I obtain only arrows with labels on the three axes of the figure (without values). fit <- lrm(y ~ rcs(x1,knots)+rcs(x2,knots), tol=1e-14,X=T,Y=T) dd <- datadist(x1,x2);options(datadist='dd'); par(mfrow=c(1,1)) plot(fit,x1=NA, x2=NA, theta=50,phi=25) How can I add values to the axes of this plot? closing R graphics windows?
?? Does anyone have any idea how hard it would be/where to start if one wanted to hack/patch R to allow X11 graphics windows that had keyboard focus to be closed with standard keyboard shortcuts (e.g. Ctrl-W to close on Linux)?? Has this been suggested/tried before? ?? cheers ??? Ben Bolker

Feature Request: Config Dump
Hello, One of the less friendly lists I am on is the Postfix list, but one of the features that Postfix has, and the use of which is required when asking for help on their list, is a command called 'postconf', which simply dumps the current configuration parameters into a neat, orderly output that you can then cut-n-paste into an email request for help. The postfix guys won't

MANAGESIEVE patch v4 for dovecot 1.0.rc28
Hello dovecot users, I have updated the MANAGESIEVE patch to fix the currently known small problems with the protocol implementation. It is designed for rc28, but also compiles cleanly with the current cvs branch_1_0. Change Log V4 ------------- - Added managesieve_implementation_string setting to the managesieve configuration. This can be used to customize the default
