recommended SSL-friendly crypto accelerator
Hi,
I'm pondering building my own SSL accelerator out of a multi-CPU
FreeBSD system and a crypto accelerator.
What's the recommended hardware crypto accelerator card these
days?
Thanks,

Problem with Playback sound in 64 bit machine
Sorry for re-posting this message -
I am trying to run the latest stable Asterix version 1.2.4. on 64 bit amd
procesor.
Things are working but the playback sounds that I hear when tring to connect
over IAX are of very high frequency.
i.e a sentence which should finish in 4 secs finishes in much lesser time.
Where can be the problem? any configuration issue?
Thanks in advance.

Bug#683170: Xend causing high CPU load - starting domU failing
Package: xen-utils-4.0
Version: 4.0.1-5.2
After clean upgrade from Lenny I got xend highly use CPU resources
causing domU don't being created - due to timeouts for vifs and vbds
(mostly CPU Steal Time was increasing - no iowaits).
Tried Xen boot options acpi=noirq|ht without success. Option acpi=off
solved that issue, but performance of the server was horrible. The final
workaround was to set dom0-cpus to 1 in /etc/xen/xend-config.sxp.
This setting is causing the dynamic changes are not propagated to domUs
(e.g. increasing memory).

system gets suspended automatically!
Hello!
I am running CentOS-5 with latest kernel available by deault (2.6.23).
I installed it on a Dell XPS machine having Intel Quad processors (4
parallel cpus). I use it to run a computational program and I need to
keep the program running for 1-2 months continuously. I generally boot
it in runlevel-3 with network ON without X and use ssh from another
machine to connect and run the program

PE850 Interrupt conflicts on CentOS 5 and onboard ethernet and pci-e serial
...e onboard ethernet controllers in a PowerEdge 850.
I'm running kernel 2.6.18-194.26.1.el5PAE with bios revision A04.
In every instance, the two serial ports have been allocated the same
interrupts as the two ethernet controllers.
I have tried many kernel boot options, including acpi=off, pci=noirq,
acpi=noirq.
When I enter the bios, I can see the same interrupts allocated to the
serial ports and ethernet controllers. Attempting to change the
interrupts manual causes both a nic and a serial port to both change,
both to the same interrupt.
I have even tried disabling onboard usb and serial w...

Asterisk & SMP: Is irqbalance Redundant on 2.6 Kernels?

all of the interrupts were being handled by CPU0. Apparently, SUSE's

Xen 3.0 hypervisor does not boot on my Acer TravelMate 2403 at all

However, with IOAPIC disabled, some important devices, like network

The problem is smimiliar to the one I have experienced trying to run
linux kernels prior to 2.6.16 on this machine.
I have corrected the problem by ma...

IBM BladeCenter HS20 blades
Greetings,
We have purchased an IBM BladeCenter and I am in the process of testing
Linux installation on these things (boot off SAN i.e. qla2300 driver,
not using internal drives). My distro of choice is Debian, however,
since I'm really not interested in trying to hand compile all the
drivers, I decided to try CentOS (which I'm so far very impressed with).
On boot, as with the

OK, so this issue appears to be that we're calling
drm_crtc_vblank_off() on a crtc for which vblank is already disabled.
My guess is that this happens because the crtc is disabled....

Issues installing x86_64 5.1 on Ultra 40
Hi all, we're trying to install CentOS 5.1 on a Sun Ultra 40. This is
an AMD-powered machine and we're using the x86_64 version of CentOS
5.1. The machine is using the NVidia CK804 chipset and has SATA disks.
It also has 16GB's of memory which prompted us to upgrade the BIOS on
the machine from 1.1 to 1.6 per this (we also have the two quadro
cards):
