pid-provider sees ld.so.1 only
I''m trying to do some userspace tracing on a server-process with the pid provider.
My problem is, that the only probes the pid-provider lists for the server-process (to which I attach dtrace with "-p nnnn") are coming from "ld.so.1".
There''s not a single one from my modules.
If I''m specifying "a.out" (or any of our shared-objects) as the module, I only get "No probe matches description".
Tracing with the syscall-provider shows no problem, but is w...

Has anyone figured out what is happening with this error? There are
many reports of this, but the advise seems to fall short - ie. make sure
you are using rsync 2.5.n, make sure the target disk is not full.

rsync: error writing NNNN unbuffered bytes - exiting:Connection reset by peer
...disk I am working with never gets more than 2% full
when the rsync client and server quit talking to each other. I'm using
a 2.4.18 Linux kernel(both), ext2 filesystems (both). Networking is
100Mbit, each NIC card is Realtec 8139too driver compatible.
I've tried adding the '--bwlimit=NNNN' and '--blocking-io' options when
invoking the client rsync, but neither affects the result.
Suggestions on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Test Line
Hi,
Somewhere in the Wiki I read that the best way to adjust the rxgain and
txgain is to dial a "type 102 milliwatt test line".
This line is usually found in xxx-958-nnnn or xxx-959-nnnn ranges.
I'm in area code 323 in Los Angeles.
Does anybody know the test number here??
Thanks,

happening:
# nmblookup somehost

But watching the transaction with ethereal on the local

1. nmblookup on local udp port nnnn (some random number above 1024)
sends an nbns packet to udp port 137 on the broadcast address
2. "somehost" immediately responds with an appropriate packet
from port 137 on somehost, directed at port nnnn on the local host.
This packet contains the correct IP address of some...

suitable device (USB3.0 Flash Drive or USB3.0-connected SSD) is used.
Unfortunately I'd have no idea how to take compression (gzip/zip) into
account, it can alter numbers significantly.
perhaps something like this:
"loaded/copied/read nnnn MB in tttt seconds (average speed nn MB/s)"
or
"done reading nnnn MB in tttt seconds (average speed nn MB/s)"
"decompressed to mmmm MB in uuuu seconds (average speed mm MB/s)"

just as long as I have access to the sources. Can I:
1. Set up auto-attendants based on the incoming phone line? Based on id

2. Set up least-cost call routing?
3. Have integrated dialing plans, such as --
1 xxx yyy nnnn = call outside line
011 .... = call internationally
* xxx = call extension xxx
# 4 xxx yyy nnnn = call using outside line #4
911 = call 911 using actual landline

Well, I used to monitor a kvm vm by a script reading info from files such as /proc/stat, /proc/loadavg, /proc/meminfo, /proc/diskstats, /proc/net/dev. Through those files under /proc, I can get the whole statistic info of the vm including cpu/me...

ACLs iin Centos 4
Hi There,
It seems the default installer with Centos 4, enables DACs and the extra
ACLs which DUMP cannot handle....
so I get errors like "DUMP: ACLs in inode #nnnn won't be dumped"
since DUMP and RESTORE is integral to my back policy for some 30+
machines I would like to know if its possible to turn off the extra ACLs
in the file system as I really don't need them...
Can tune2fs do this for me or do I have to re-build the filesystems with
so...
