same issue, but can''t tell whether this is actually caused by the
number of VCPUs or disk devices or something else entirely.
Thanks and regards,

Yum corrupting RPMs
...downloading the RPM directly via
FTP with wget or lftpget provides an RPM that *does* pass the GPG check.
I have upgraded key packages to the latest version (eg. yum upgrade
'yum*') and tried again to no avail.
Anyone seen this before?
Thanks,
Tom

OpenIPMI on a SunFire v20z

Seems like the OpenIPMI drivers aren't binding to the device?
Basically, I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience running
openipmi on CentOS 4.1 running the default 2.6.9-11.EL kernel and can
offer any assistance to me?

Dropouts and echo
Hi all,
We have recently implemented an Asterisk system using Trixbox
(asterisk v1.4.4 at the moment, yet to move to 1.4.9) but are getting
pressure to switch back to our old key system unless we fix two major
issues. So please help me avoid switching back!
An overview: We have about 12 Linksys SPA941 SIP phones connected on
a private switched network to our asterisk box which is a

Linux PV Drivers - VBD device not loading - Cannot get Major 3/22 for ide
I am trying to get PV drivers running on both Centos 5.1 and Centos 5.3
HVMs, my DomU is Centos 5.2 with Xen 3.31. For 5.1 I install the
kmod-xenpv RPM but for 5.3 the drivers seem to be built-in.
For the network drivers to work I had to unload the Realtek NIC driver
and renamed its .ko files to stop it loading. Adding the Xen-Vnif alias
to modprobe.conf then got the PV NICs working nicely (Much

5.x install - loses display when launching anaconda
Hi all,
Trying to install 5.0 or 5.1 (i386 or x86_64) on a new system from an
install DVD. As soon as the installer launches anaconda, the screen
shuts off and from this point I'm unable to switch to any other tty.
This is an Intel core2duo machine on an Intel P35 chipset motherboard,

Yum FTP concurrency
Greetings,
My chosen CentOS mirror has a limit of 5 max FTP connections per IP. A
simple 'yum update' is hitting this limit and causing the whole update
procedure to fail.
Are there any settings to limit yum's FTP concurrency?

Tom

Trivial exclude help
Hi list,
Sorry for the exclude question... but I have been trying for hours to
get this to work and am utterly baffled.
I'm performing an archive transfer between hosts and wish to include
anything in any directory named 'debug' or 'drpms' at any depth. I
assumed this would be as simple as --exclude 'debug/***' --exclude
'drpms/***' but I still get

Single ringer phone for incoming calls, that anyone can answer
Hi list,
Does anyone have any advice on the following:
Incoming calls to our office come in on a SIP trunk. Since all our
offices/desks are in close proximity, we would like just a single
phone to ring when a call comes in instead of ringing every person's
phone.
Currently we've got this working by having all the phones in a
callgroup/pickupgroup and incoming calls ring the

Xen, GFS, GNBD and DRBD?
Hi all,
We're looking at deploying a small Xen cluster to run some of our
smaller applications. I'm curious to get the lists opinions and advice
on what's needed.
The plan at the moment is to have two or three servers running as the
Xen dom0 hosts and two servers running as storage servers. As we're
trying to do this on a small scale, there is no means to hook the
