I wouldn't expect you to be using RFC3389 if your using A-law, can you include your IOS version and IOS config file ... I have not specified any allow's or disallow's in my * config for the codecs with my 5300, I also use Cisco 79xx phones and I use the option within the phones config file to select the preffered codec and when I change this to G.729/A-law/U-law all works perfectly

...eping the 2811 gateway. Set up is complete, outgoing and incoming calls are sended to the 2811. The problem is that in 90% of the time I get a 500server error back from 2811 when placing a call. Incoming calls are OK. The 2811 was configured in primary-4ess (?) for ccm. I changed it to primary-net5. hi folks. i recently setup an Asterisk system in Hong Kong. their phone company told me that their T1 PRI switch type is Primary-NTT. however in chan_dahdi.conf there's no such option. i have it set to national. it worked fine for a while, but now suddenly stop working. in coming call just keep ringing and didn't even show up on console. out going call hang up immediately with cause code

Guys. I need some advice on some h323 issues. I need to test connectivity from Asterisk to a Cisco AS5300 that has PSTN lines and to cisco 3600 voip routers. H323 needs to be used here but I was wondering if anybody has linked Asterisk to these Cisco routers before? Thank you for any pointers.

Hi all, I got a new laptop recently and what worked before no longer works (Fedora 23 on the laptops in both cases)... I'm trying to get nested virtualization to work because I use the VMs on the laptop to simulate an HA cluster that itself hosts VMs. I don't care much at all about the performance of the nested VM, it's just there so that I can work on the cluster's code.

I'm having a problem with files locking so that every time the are opened up they are opened as Read-Only. Windows doesn't see them as readonly but Samba thinks that they are write=no and so they can't be saved or deleted.
