OT: HOWTO: Query channel state on an Ateus Voice Blue GSM gateway
Because the VoiceBlue is only 4 channels and I am supporting 100 cell users,
I needed a way to overflow calls to the PRI of all 4 channels are full.
Unfortunately, there seems to be no built-in mechanism to determine if the
gateway is full, so this script parses the output of "asterisk -rx sip show
channels XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX" to determine the number of channels currently in
use. Hope this

unexpected behaviour with ddply and colwise
Hi,
I am confused by results from:
> ddply(aa, names(aa), colwise(sum))
I thought ddply was just calling colwise(sum)() with each column.
However ddply() returns a 13 x 5 result !!
The general result I expected is similar to that of apply() , or
using colwise(sum)() alone. Shouldn't ddply() produce the same ?
Thanks in advance for your help,
- Stuart Andrews

A unique 'click to call' project - Could use some advice
Hello List,
I work for an IP communication provider in upstate NY as the engineer
assisting our technical support team.
We provide a number of different Telco systems to residential
subscribers; and in an effort to more effectively trouble shoot
termination problems I came up with the idea of creating a click to call
system that will allow our agents to effortlessly place test calls.
