Documentation for mocks?
Is there any documentation about how mock objects work in RoR, specifically exactly how one should use the test/mocks directory. Is it just me being incompetent searching for it, or hasn''t this been documented yet? Thanks in advance for your help! paul.butcher->msgCount++ Snetterton, Castle Combe, Cadwell Park... [nbdkit PATCH 2/2] plugins/rust: restrict predicates-{tree, core} to {1.0.7, 1.0.5}
...lly ship rustc 1.66, but RHEL-9.2 has not been released. The above rustc requirement bump breaks the nbdkit build on RHEL-9.1 -- which provides rustc 1.62. Restrict predicates-{tree,core} to {1.0.7,1.0.5}. (Side commentary: when such things can happen via a *patchlevel* upgrade, that makes a total mockery of "semantic versioning" <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_versioning#Semantic_versioning>.) RSpec 0.7.5 with Rails and rcov
I seem to be missing something because I am at a loss on how to get rcov, RSpec, and Rails working together. Would someone mind dropping some hints?

binary form of is() contradicts its unary form

If you really believe that references should be needed to know what to expect from a function call, then we work with different definitions of "manual". But judging from the excellent R documentation, I would say that the R maintainers don't share your view. I?aki

[nbdkit PATCH 0/2] various
I originally meant to post only the "vector.h" patch, but then (independently) nbdkit wouldn't build. Hence the other (rust plugin) patch. [ rspec-Patches-9605 ] Patch for ER 9472, shared behaviour
Hi all - I''ve applied (to trunk) Bob Cotton''s patch which supports shared behaviours (link to tracker below). I''m still toying w/ names, so please be aware that until this is released w/ 0.9 it should be considered experimental and there will NOT be translation support for it. It will definitely be included in some form - just the names (specifically

"Why not MockEverthing" or why use fixtures for all tests?
...and replacing them with code to use fixtures. (He also deletes many comments he finds in the code if *he* thinks they''re obvious, but that''s another story...). His commit messages include comments like "Stop mocking around" and "More fixes due to our test mockery". When challenged on why he''s re-writing these tests instead of writing new, missing tests (even tests using fixtures) he replied with this e- mail with the subject "Why not MockEverything". (Note that I *do* use fixtures for model tests but follow the RSpec documenta...
