Name Change
I'm not sure where to put in my $.02 on this, but I think the best thing to do is pick a different name; I like "fresh". my $.02 of course, Mark

Feature Request: RSA and PasswordAuth subsequently
I want the server to require after a sucessful RSA authentication additional PasswordAuthentication. This feature is implemented in the ssh-server from ssh.com and there ist a need for it. Certainly i can buy the ssh.com version but i would rather prefer to use openssh. If nothing obvious militate against the attempt to implement this feature for openssh, i toy with the idea to do it myself. Unfortunately im not following this list long enough to assure that nobody else tried this before, so please hint me to the archive if someone did. -- Arndt Koenigsfeld <koenigsf at de.alcove.com&g...

WIFI phones on asterisk
I have used WIP300, hitachi 5000 wireless phones on asterisk and have had good success. However, I am looking for a WIFI phone with integrated belt clip. Has anyone found any? I have tried after market clips and holders and those just don't work. THanks for sharing if someone has found something that works with asterisk. Jerry

RE: Mediacast1 yp dir update
The ice-* headers are the standard protocol for connecting to icecast2, the trouble is making all source clients adhere to the standard. The option is to be very militant about it, and basically deny any source clients that do not connect with the ice-* headers , but we chose the more compatable route...although there is a limit to this compatability....I would strongly urge darkice to use

Sluething
My Samba Server had a wild time this weekend thanks to alleged power fluctuations. I'm using Samba 3.x on Fedora 4. My server sits on an APC UPS that remains in good health. When I arrived this Monday I found that my MicroTik Router was still up. My Win XP pro AV server was off and my Fedora/SAMBA box was also off. (all boxes have their own 15min UPS) The Win XP pro was brought up w/out

in place text edit
I''ve written a pretty nice Flickr style in place text edit JavaScript control based on the Script.aculo.us library. API is like this: <span id="editme">Edit me!</span> <script> new InPlaceEditor($(''editme''), ''url/to/action''); </script> Background changes to gray as mouse hovers over the text (like flickr) and the

Buildbot Noise
Folks, David has been particularly militant with broken buildbots recently, so to make sure we don't throw the baby with the bath water, I'd like to propose some changes on how we deal with the emails on our *current* buildmaster, since there's no concrete plans to move it to anything else at the moment. The main issue is that managing the buildbots is not a simple task. It requires

For Whom the Gaza Bell Tolls -- Part 1 and 2 -- Obama’s Mideast Jewish Wet Dream Team
For Whom the Gaza Bell Tolls -- Part 1 By Edmund Connelly for The Occidental Observer January 16, 2008 ?The Israelis can kill whomever they want whenever they want.? --Paul Craig Roberts I sometimes think that it?s pointless for Americans to talk much about recent events in Gaza because we know how it will play out ? America will do absolutely nothing to interfere with the ongoing massacre.

Reasons to Use R
Dear All, The institute I work for is organizing an internal workshop for High Performance Computing (HPC). I am planning to attend it and talk a bit about fluid dynamics, but there is also quite a lot of interest devoted to data post-processing and management of huge data sets. A lot of people are interested in image processing/pattern recognition and statistic applied to geography/ecology, but I

Macbook for Rails Development
Hi All, I''ve finally got fed up of struggling with Windows and am on the verge of splashing out on a Macbook for Ruby/Rails development. I''ve seen DHH''s post about it on loudthinking but I wondered if anyone else has any more wisdom... Is it worth it over a powerbook? Any tips on good OSX apps for Rails dev (textmate, i know already)? Anything not working well on
