of the docs mention this but raw lpr doesn't seem to work without it.
Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong? Also should I use lpr or cups
as we don't have any postscript printers?

running without too many problems and can now print from Windows clients

Thanks for the responses.

difficulty, raw printing via Cups is very reliable, the only problem we
seem to have is with a Tally printer's internal print server which is
flaky under both NT and Samba.

ssh-askpass worked fine with my old ssh 1.2.27; it appeared to stop
working at 1.2.30, and this not-working behavior was picked up by OpenSSH
(and maintained thru the current commercial SSH as well).

Ocamlfind can't find hivex

Apologies if this is the wrong list, I initially opened a github ticket
before reading that github isn't the right spot.
Trying to compile libguestfs and in the process need to get hivex compiled
and installed.
Hivex compiles and installs fine (I think), but ocamlfind doesn't seem to
pick up hivex after the install causing the autogen.sh script in

Also don't hesitate in asking for help with the configuration.

Looking for driver help
I sent an email out to freebsd-net without a response, soo this is my last
attempt at getting any assistance here.
I have a QLE3142-CU-CK (rebranded NetXen NX3-20GCU w/ NX3031 chipset) with
no driver support in *BSD from anything I saw. I came across solaris's ntxn
driver which seems to work appropriately but I have no use for solaris as a
host o/s. Naturally I'll attempt at trying to get

How I do understand the current the reference manual for
llvm.lifetime.start, the semantics of
llvm.lifetime.start(a)
and

are the same if a is not used before that point. According to Than

correctly handle the situation.
What I would wish for is that the language reference for lifetime
markers is updated such that it reflects the what StackColoring can
handle, and that the IR verifier fails when the lifetime markes are

write.table linebreaks
Hello R users,
I am a newby using R 2.5.0 on a Apple Power Book G4 with Mac OS X
10.4.10.
when I use the write.table function, I always get the output in Unix
linebreaks that I have to change to McIntosh linebreaks to be able to
Import the data in Excel 2004 for Mac.
Is there a possibility to do this automatically in R and respectively
in the write.table function?
Thanks in advance.

Samba and OSX 10.4
Is OSX 10.4.10 compatible with Samba's print server software? My I.T. Dept
has had no luck in getting this to work. From what I've seen online, there
does seem to be issues, but Samba also seems to be fully supported by Apple
which doesn't make sense if it's not compatible.
Thanks

Sangoma A200 and battery removal detection ??!!!
Dear Folks,
Anyone knows if Sangoma supports or going to provide support for battery
removal detection on FXO lines?? As Tzafrir said earlier DAHDI supports it,
which is a very nice feature but what about Sangoma?
Regards.

Best ISDN BRI solutions?
Hi all,
For a while now I've been using Asterisk together with HFC-PCI cards
(Cologne chipset) for Euro-ISDN BRI support. However, I do not
consider this to be the most reliable solution and believe that the
most stubborn problems have always been software related.
If my clients are willing to spend a bit more money on different
hardware, what do you think the best solution would be?
