Debian Squeeze packages available for Gluster 3.4.0-alpha2
...ub/gluster/glusterfs/qa-releases/3.4.0alpha2/glusterfs-3.4.0alpha2.tar.gz.
Some minor adjustments were made, as the versions in the original
packaging seemed to refer to packages from Debian Wheezy.

get an arbitrary collection from gems?
...Manage Photos</a>
But, I was hoping for something slightly more modular, and was hoping
I could figure out some way to hook these links in dynamically when I
install my gem and or run my generators.
In other CMS'' I have used, this was possible. Wordpress for example
had a hook, and Magento had an XML based admin navigation when the
links to manage your account were dynamically populated.
What would be a way to go about this in Rails? I''ve thought of making
a db table and writing to it with seeds when I run each gem''s
generators. But I was hoping something simpler....

Server locking up everyday around 3:30 AM - (INFO: task wget:13608 blocked for more than 120 seconds) need sleep, help.
...at least that we were able to find.
There are no cron jobs that run at 3:30, no backups, the server has a
load of 0, nothing is scheduled around that time...
The only crontab entry at all is "*/5 * * * * wget -q
www.websitedomain.com/cron.php >/dev/null 2>&1"
They are running Magento for commerce purposes and this runs every 5 minutes.
Why does the server only lockup around 3:30 AM? Because it's knows I
am fast asleep?
I was able to pull this from /var/log/messages, this happens just
seconds before locking up completely...

How to evaluate the glusterfs performance with small file workload?
Hi guys
I have met some troubles when I want to evaluate the glusterfs performance with small file workload.
1: What kind of benchmark should I use to test the small file operation ?
As we all know, we can use iozone tools to test the large file operation, while for the sake of memory cache,
if we testing small file operation with iozone, the result will not correct.

Performance after failover
Hey, all.
I'm currently trying out GlusterFS 3.3.
I've got two servers and four clients, all on separate boxes.
I've got a Distributed-Replicated volume with 4 bricks, two from each
server,
and I'm using the FUSE client.
I was trying out failover, currently testing for reads.
I was reading a big file, using iftop to see which server was actually
being read from.
I put up an

Gluster native mount is really slow compared to nfs
Hello,
?

We tried tons of settings to get a php app running on a native gluster mount:

I tried some mount variants in order to speed up things without luck.

After that I tried nfs (native gluster nfs 3 and ganesha nfs 4), it was a crazy

GlusterFS performance
Hello!
I have GlusterFS installation with parameters:
- 4 servers, connected by 1Gbit/s network (760-800 Mbit/s by iperf)
- Distributed-replicated volume with 4 bricks and 2x4 redundancy formula.
- Replicated volume with 2 bricks and 2x2 formula.
I found some trouble: if I try to copy huge amount of files (94000 files,
3Gb size), this process takes terribly long time (from 20 to 40 minutes). I
