[LLVMdev] Status of blocks runtime in compiler-rt?
Hi folks,
So, various folks are in the process of porting Grand Central Dispatch
to FreeBSD (c.f. http://libdispatch.macosforge.org and http://lists.macosforge.org/pipermail/libdispatch-dev
for mailing list discussion on the topic) and are making good
progress, but one of the issues they're running into is support for
Blocks in FreeBSD.
On the one hand, they could try and back-port the gcc changes from http://ww...

Funky Font problems with Quicken 2010
I am using wine 1.3.16 on Mac OX 10.6.7, built and installed using osxwinebuilder. I am using it to run Quicken 2010. Quicken installed and runs fine with one exception: One of the fonts used in Quicken is rendered very poorly. Here is an example:

Searching for this problem led me to a number of posts that suggested using winecfg to set the

Mac OSX (10.5) & wine w/ OpenGL - Info & Issues
...for some time, using macports to install it and it works quite nicely (except for an issue with windows sliding down the screen, which can be fixed by setting a desktop area in winecfg). Sadly I'v not been able to get OpenGL support working.
(I am using OSX 10.5.4 with XQuartz (http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki) 2.3.0, which is based on X.org)
There are currently 3 issues I am aware of using OpenGL with wine on OSX.
1) Linker Error
When building wine the linker is unable to find the libGL.dylib, this can be fixed by passing "-Wl,-dylib_file,/System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/...

issues with dev.new avoiding RStudio plot device on unix?
...ouldn't it be just as safe to add RStudio to the list of accepted .Platform$GUIs?
In my case (Mac OS X 10.10.5), I'd like to get a quartz device. The problem here is that I have XQuartz installed, so DISPLAY is always set and looks like this
/private/tmp/com.apple.launchd.2wKas4wzPe/org.macosforge.xquartz:0
while dev.new() checks for ^/tmp/launch-; I suppose the DISPLAY variable has changed between different versions of Mac OS X or XQuartz. Perhaps the additional patterns could just be added to the grepl() call?
Best,
Stefan

Screen goes white while playing WonderKing
Hello,
I'm having difficulties running WonderKing (http://wonderking.ndoorsgames.com/center/default.asp) on an Intel Mac version 10.5.8 using Wine 1.1.35.
I was able to download and install both programs successfully, but when I run WonderKing, I'm able to get to the first screen where you can check to see if you have all the files needed to run the game (I have all of them), change from

[LLVMdev] Grand Central Dispatch open sourced, with links to clang/compiler-rt
Hello,
The source code for Grand Central Dispatch (libdispatch) in Mac OS X
10.6 Snow Leopard has been released: <http://
libdispatch.macosforge.org/>
Prominently noted on the page is a link for a portable C compiler with
blocks support (clang) and the blocks runtime (part of compiler-rt)!
The libdispatch project consists of the user space implementation of
the Grand Central Dispatch API as seen in Mac OS X version 10.6 Snow

Wine + OS X: no default printer
I've installed the MacPorts package for Wine (wine 1.0).
I'm using OS X Leopard with X11. From OS X applications, I can print to my default printer. I also have CUPS-PDF installed and that too is working for my OS X applications.
My Windows applications run well but they complain about the lack of a default printer.
In Linux (Ubuntu), Wine detects the printer from CUPS. Is it possible

Re: Window Scrolling on OSX
I suppose Zach Drayer makes the Darwine version from thisismyinter.net. I tried his version 1.1.3, and it broke my Wine, so have gone back to 1.1.1.
Hopefully the next build by either can fix OpenGL as well. I read it can't compile because of a dependancy on an XQuartz library which is too old in the current version. XQuartz 2.3.1 is also overdue. Maybe Kronenberg is waiting on them, too. It
