Xen on AM2 nForce 590 (Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe)
While I wait for the Xen 3.0 Test CD to download, has anyone has luck using an Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard (NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP chipset)? The CPU is an AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ AM2 w/ 2GB DDR2 533. The motherboard mostly works under Gentoo using kernel 2.6.18 with the "noapic" kernel boot option in my grub.conf file. The only major issue with the Gentoo kernel c...

M2N32, suse 10.3 and network problem
Hi I have an Asus M2N32 WS Pro, 4G Ram, AthlonX264 4600+. I Installed SuSE 10.3 (64bit) on Dom0, LVM on Raid 5. All domU''s boot off LVM, using same Suse 10.3. I have a firewall (fw) domU running shorewall and a domU name-dhcp-server (nds). Somewhere in between 10 and 16 hours the network stalls. In dns, I can se...

Extremely broken BIOS detected
...as of yet. 2 discs were part of a RAID6 set of 4. 4xSATA HDDs and 2xIDE HDDs. Not sure if it's a BIOS setting, software problem, hardware newer than software, etc. I didn't notice the error message with previous BIOS version. Any pointers would be great. Any recomendations for Motherboards?
What socket AM2 motherboards out there work well with xen (i.e. support > 4G ram, sata and lan chipsets work). I''m looking to probably run one of the lowpower Athlon 64 X2 4200''s in it. I''d also like to see atleast 4 ram slots. Anyone have any recomendations? Thanks, Doug _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list

How to verify ecc for ram is active and enabled?
Is there a method to view the status of the rams ecc single or double bit errors? I would like to confirm that ecc on my xeon e5520 and ecc ram are performing their role since memtest is ambiguous. I am running memory test on a p6t6 ws, e5520 xeon, 2gb samsung ecc modules and this is what is on the screen: Chipset: Core IMC (ECC : Detect / Correct) However, further down "ECC" is

Best use of 4 drives?
I''m putting together a NexentaOS (b65)-based server that has 4 500 GB drives on it. Currently it has two, set up as a ZFS mirror. I''m able to boot Nexenta from it, and it seems to work ok. But, as I''ve learned, the mirror is not properly redundant, and so I can''t just have a drive fail (when I pull one, the OS ends up hanging, and even if I replace it, I have to

MCP55 SATA data corruption in FreeBSD 7
I am having problems with silent data corruption on (some) drives connected to an MCP55 SATA controller. I have two servers, both running RELENG_7_0/amd64. One has the 570 Ultra chipset, the other has 570 SLI. Both chipsets have the MCP55 SATA controller. The server with 570 Ultra chipset has a bunch of older 250GB SATA-150 drives hooked up to the MCP55 controller and it is working just fine.
