Asterisk with Lucent TNT echo
I'm running SIP between my Lucent TNT acting as a gateway, and an
asterisk server. We have a PRI coming into the Lucent. Basically the
problem I'm having is mostly on inbound calls but some outbound calls as
well. I hear echo and sometimes some weird artifacting on calls coming
in from the lucent. Everything routed over IAX to VoIP Jet or Nufone
sounds fine. It seems like every 3

Lucent iMerge
I've read the wiki and other resources on how to connect Vonage / Voicepulse
and all these other services to Asterisk... We are attempting a connection
to a Lucent iMerge. Lucent has told us that it won't work - but we feel
confident that it will. Has anyone worked with the Lucent iMerge - or would
be willing to help lend a hand?
It is capable of H323 / MGCP. Even if I could make the

OT: Are you using a Lucent?
Is anyone out there using Lucent brand equipment to handle an incomming
DS3, converting all 672 calls to SIP (as G729) and sending those to
Asterisk/SER over ethernet?
If you are and are willing to speak to my boss about your experiences
(over the phone) with it, please contact me off list.
We have a possible contract with a local CLEC to handle their long
distance, and they want to send to

Asterisk Integration with Lucent Definity g3 si
...: other
We then set up a trunk group, but I believe because of the limitations of
the card/setup we can only use group type: co which limits us to outbound on
the trunk, or inbound to 1 mapped extension, no DID or more advanced
switching. The temporary solution to this has been to use some of the
lucents built in vectoring capabilities to send specific extensions to the
asterisk. Any recommendations for increasing our integration? Cards/setup
etc? Thanks very much. Being able to send voip calls on the asterisk to
queues on the Lucent would be fantastic.

Lucent Partner extension to X100P
Hi All...
I'm currently trying to have an extension of my Lucent Partner phone
system connected to Asterisk using an X100P. The issue I'm having is
that the Lucent Partner analog port connection have different ring and
dialtone than the one specified for US in indications.conf.
Anyone have accomplished this connection before. I need to know what I

Lucent and ISDN-PRI
Hi Everyone,
So I have been further exploring the integration of our asterisk server and
our lucent definity g3si system. I took the suggestion of setting up an
isdn-pri line added the two way tie trunk and the signalling group, but
can't seem to get the PRI signalling working on the asterisk correctly. I've
set pri type to network on the lucent, and pri_cpe in zapata on the
asterisk, but

Fax to Email with Asterisk and Lucent TNT
Hello,
I have a Lucent MAX TNT, (DS-3, 672 modem ports, 28 PRIs). I'd like
to be able to direct an inbound fax call into my TNT, have it answer
the fax and send the image file over to Asterisk, or some other
system to deliver to an e-mail address(s). I'm not sure if I need
Asterisk to any of the call control or not. I'd also like to setup a
print queue and have outbound

Using Lucent/Avaya 64XX sets with asterisk
Hi all,
I am new to asterisk, but experienced with Linux and Avaya/Lucent G3R
hardware/software. We currently have a large inventory of spare Lucent
64XX phone sets. I'm considering setting up an asterisk system for a
remote office, and would like to use the Lucent sets because they are
cheap, and familiar to my end users. Does anyone know of a card that
can drive these sets? I think

OT: Lucent, Cisco, DS3 and SS7
I've posted this before but before it was just wishful thinking. But now
it has become a real need.
Our boss has a 5 year grudge against Lucent. They had a Lucent here that
would simply stop processing calls. No alarms. No nothing. I'm sure that
in 5 years, new software has been released.
I've got another guy running several AS5400HPX's telling me that you can

Lucent TNT Help
I'm looking for someone familiar with setting up some of the more
advanced features of the Lucent TNT, preferably someone with knowledge
of Trunk Groups and choosing outgoing PRI channels based on call type
and perhaps NPA-NXX
We currently have 8 PRI's. 7 of them are for our dialup pool, the 8th
is for our voip. We currently run the dialup PRI's to a seperate TNT

Chris,
My experience has been that the APX and TNT products require a single
SIP proxy, how are you load balancing 2500 calls?

Lucent Definity + Asterisk Success!
Hey Everyone,
Thanks for helping with this integration, I finally got it working!
I have inbound and outbound dialing from/to the asterisk box via a pri line!
I would definitely like to contribute this information to the wiki so we can
fill in some of the information gaps there. In the short term I wrote up
what I did and scanned in all of the nescessary screen prints from the
lucent into a pdf

Asterisk and Lucent APX8100 Universal Gateway
we're evaluating the use of a Lucent APX8100 E3/SS7 to SIP gateway for use
in conjunction with asterisk, serving something like 4000+ lines. does
anyone have experience with the APX8100 and it's integration with SIP on
asterisk ? does the APX8100 handle SS7<->SIP signalling well enough to be
used ? any anecdotes would be well appreciated.

Asterisk connecting to a proprietry PBX
Hi guys,
I'm interconnecting an Asterisk box with a Lucent Definity PBX by
means of FXO/FXS ports on a TDM2400 card. Everything works well,
except for one little thing. Every now and then somebody (from an
Asterisk extension) will call another extension on the Lucent Definity
PBX and they hit their voicemail. They caller leaves their message (or
not) and hangup, BUT the Lucent sometimes

Registering Asterisk to Lucent's MVAM Gatekeeper
Hi there,
I am trying to register asterisk to a Lucent's MVAM GK. It is not
registering to the GK with both h323 channels(chan_h323 and oh323).
The problem is that if I set the GK(in asterisk) through the GK's IP, the GK
answers with GCF without it's GK ID, and after that it does not answer to the
RRQ, because the RRQ message has no GK ID.
And when I set the GK through

* -> Lucent PBX
The Wiki mentions Lucent PBXs but really only the large ones.
I've got to get a small 4 x ISDN in with 4 proprietary ISDN out plus 4
analog out connected up to an * to give VoIP capability.
I have no docs at all. Looking at the front plate it has 3 incoming
connections 2 in use marked T0 and one unused S0. I have an HFC card and
wonder if I can use bri-stuff to make use of the S0.
