LinuxTag day One
The guys [3] at LinuxTag want to share some of the stuff they have been doing today. After setting up the booth [1] we started the usual socializing by doing this, we met Brian Schueler again who created a PowerPC 32 version of CentOS and even a ARMv5. This is quite impressive and we all gathered around to see a little de...

IMPORTANT: Issue with Linuxtag 2009
Hi, due to clashing issues here at work I will not be able to make it to Linuxtag 2009, as I won't be able to get free time during that week. That at the moment leaves us with Didi and Chris Geldenhuis, which isn't enough to man a booth during 4 days. Is anyone else interested to come to man the booth there? Otherwise we might have to call it off for this year. If so i...

Dovecot Solutions company
I recently created Dovecot Solutions Oy (Ltd) company with two other guys. We sell Dovecot support, development, etc. I was planning on announcing this only after we get an actual web site, but since I already told about it in Linuxtag today, I might as well tell everyone. The upcoming web site should have some more details, but if you already know you want to buy something, let me know. :)

openssh X11Forwarding problem solution
...: How about using $HOME/.Xauthority as default cookie file instead of /tmp/ssh-something, at least as a configurable option? b) Sysadmins: Disable the (re-)setting of XAUTHORITY in the shell profiles, or add [ -z "$XAUTHORITY" ] as condition. Replies, comments or questions to knopper at linuxtag.de, please, since I'm not on the openssh-unix-dev mailinglist. Sincerely -Klaus Knopper mailto:knopper at linuxtag.de http://www.linuxtag.de/

v2.1.5 released
...ery combination. So here's another advantage that Dovecot support customers have: they can have their specific configuration included in the automated tests. This release already fixes one bug I found only after testing a customer's config. Oh, and looks like I got accepted as a speaker to LinuxTag 2012. The plan is to talk about some new things in Dovecot and dsync replication (looks like I have to hurry up with the dsync rewrite). And finally, the most important changes since v2.1.4: * IMAP: When neither the session nor the mailbox has modseq tracking enabled, return the mailbox as ha...
