version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libpthread.so.0
I just installed EMC PowerPath 5.0.0 and Navisphere Agent and CLI on a CentOS 4.4/x86_64 system. When I try to start naviagent, I get the error below. Before upgrading to CentOS4.4, this same system had RHEL3 ES for x86_64 on it, and the same problem was encountered. I spent weeks going back and forth with EMC tech support, but the problem was never resolved. I'm hoping someone here on this

order of APPEND and INITRD
Igor asked about APPEND: > In other words: Can I break up a long line into multiple lines > in 5.01 or 5.10pre now or is that still not supported? I also wonder: can one control whether the INITRD parameter gets prepended or appended? Right now it seems to be placed after APPEND parameters, but might be more useful if it came first. The Debian/Ubuntu installers will copy parameters

[LLVMdev] llvm cmake build option ((enable-experimental-targets=R600)) question
greetings I am new to this list. I have recently compiled llvm-3.3 from sources. My machine has these: --cpu -amd64 --os- clbfs 64bit -linux3 series kernel --C/C++ compiler -modern versions gcc My preferred build tool is cmake. llvm is needed for MesaLib and the autotools build of llvm allows this option:- --enable-experimental-targets=R600 ( for example described here: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/svn/general/llvm.ht...

How to handel smtp to public servers
Hi, we do have some subnetworks for private computers, which are allowed to use there public smtp servers like msn, web.de or whatever with the users private accounts. All our own computers have to send mail trough our mailserver with user authentication. From time to time we are faced with the fact, that a virus infected private notebook sends spam and we are told by our ISP to take care :)

Question about storage for virtualisation
Hi ! I'm about to deploy a new server that will host several virtual host for mainly website hosting purposes. My server will be a Xeon 3440 or 3450 with 32 gigs of ram (the max of that board). So I will have 8 logical cores. At the moment, I don't know how many vms I will have, in the order of 5 or 6. I am quite new to managing VMs, I did play alot with them over the course of the

Samba and Window 2003
I am trying to find a good how-to on setting up samba to use Windows 2003 for authentication, if anyone knows of a good link let me know. I am using RedHat ES 3 and our Windows is running in native mode with NT style authentication allowed. I cant use ADS and Kerberos because the current version of Kerberos on my RH server is 1.2.7 and from what I have read I need 1.3+ in order for it to work

CentOS 6 : Tip for significantly increasing battery life / reducing power consumption (Thinkpad X220 Tablet)
Hello, I was not happy with the power consumption of CentOS 6 x86_64 on a new Lenovo Thinkpad x220 Tablet and I worked on reducing it. I just wanted to share with the list one of the changes which gave me the most significant improvement. As per http://www.williambrownstreet.net/blog/?p=387, add the following kernel arguments to the GRUB boot configuration: pcie_aspm=force

porting vmware''s vmdk to domU
Hi! Is there any experience of converting vmware''s vmdk file to a domU image? Maybe via extracting vmdk (how?) -> build tar -> untar in domU? That would be very nice despite replacing the original kernel with a self-built one and worthy to write a script... :) Cheers, Sven. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com
