SAMBA and Windows 2008 TSE licence Server
Hi all!
I can't use the TSE licence server in Windows 2008 server. This Server
is member of my Samba Domain. My TSE licence server is actived and my
licences added, but when i want configure the TSE service and launch the
Licence diagnostic the diagnostic failed.
I think my problem is due to my Windows Server is not an Active
Directory controller.

Licences
Hi,
I'm looking for a way to determine the licenses of packages we're using.
Is there a command (rpm, yum, up2date...) that will take the package
name as argument and return me the licence?
Or is everything included with Centos 4 GPL? That is the only licence
I found in the repositories... I remember that RH had the habit of
putting all the applicable licences on the

iLBC re-licence
Does anybody know if the updated licence on iLBC makes it safe to
include in Asterisk when used in a commercial environment again?

Are there any particular licences under which R packages must be released or is

729 licence on scsi
I Purchased 4 licences for my SCSI only machine. I do have a CDROM -
with a mounted CD. The Registration binary gives me a 'Segmentation
Fault'. Is this like telling me I can't register the licence?
Unfortunately - I only seriously scanned the mailing list after buying
the keys....

Legal issues for non-profit radio stations.
Hi All,
Some time ago I emailed this list and mentioned (as well as a couple of
techinical queries) that I was trying to contact the PRS for information on
the copyright licencing requirements of a non-profit on-line radio station,
a few people expressed interest in this and asked I keep them updated. Well
I just sent my third email (transcript below) informing them that I will
assume a further lack of response as permission from them to play whatever.

Building RPM, Unknown tag Licence & Copyright
Hi all,
When trying to rpmbuild
http://robert.cheramy.net/ipfm/browser/trunk/redhat/ipfm.spec, I do this:
[mihamina at centos6-01 redhat]$ rpmbuild -ba ipfm.spec

And I get the error above.

Do I need a CH1 licence for Cisco Phones ?
I've got a question regarding Cisco IP Phones and licencing.
When using a third party PBX like asterisk is a licence required for the
Cisco phones ? Has anyone got anything in writing from Cisco to clarify this
?
Eg can I just use CP-7961G or do I need CP-7961G-CH1 even though I'm not
using Cisco Callmanager ?

Digium G729 licence unattended install
Hi,
One of the key features of Asterisk is that we can install it on many
hardware platforms.
We've done our best to script this installation process, so that, in case of
hardware failure, we can re-install Asterisk on another platform.
The question I have is how can we adapt our process so that Digium's G729
licences (or other licenced software) could be installed without asking too

G729 - what happens if licences used up?
I haven't been able to find the answer online, and am not currently
able to conduct an experiment to find the answer...
I understand that in a SIP call where G729 has been negotiated as the
preferred codec, a G.729 licence is not consumed until there is a need
to perform transcoding, e.g. play a non-g729 sound, or do voicemail,
or enter a Meetme, etc.

I've just purchase some licences of G.729 codecs, and I like to bring up * using /etc/rc.d/init.d script.

Small Extension to license()/licence()
By analogy with maintainer(), I suggest extending license() to give
the licensing terms of packages as well as R itself when prompted.
Below is a small patch in that direction. This won't break anything
and imposes no significant maintenance burden; it has the advantage of
making it ever so marginally easier to know package licenses.

Making a new package: licence
...uccesfully uploaded a new package. The licence it is under is 'GPL' --no version. My assumption is, since all the code is written in R the licence R used for R would affect the code (hence my "GPL" stands for "whatever version of the GPL R is under")
I am happy with the licencing I used, but I'd like to ask if there is any transitive propery of IP licencing or if I am mistaken.
