PJSIP / T.38 - Asterisk not passing on v21 preamble and data
Dear list,
happy new year!
I am still trying to make T.38 work. In the meantime, I have upgraded to Asterisk 13.1.0, and I am using the most recent PJSIP library (compiling that stuff myself). My local fax software is capable of T.38, as is my ITSP; Asterisk sits in the middle, of course. Asterisk is in the same private subnet as the local fax software and talks to the ITSP through a NAT'd

How to read installed spandsp version ?
Hello,
On my Lenny system, I've got libspandsp.a, libspandsp.la files and so on
present in /usr/lib.
How could I write a shell script that would read among those files and tell
"installed spandsp is version 0.0.4pre12 or version 0.0.6pre3" ?
This is something autoconf tools must be able to do but I know how to write
any line of code...

I remember that I was having issues with an older libspandsp library.
I simply upgraded to the latest available version which made the issue
go away. We were using 0.0.6 pre 12 before and upgraded to 0.0.6 pre
20. However, I believe (and please someone do correct me if I'm wrong)
that libspandsp is not required when using t38 passthrough, which is

^5 problem with chan_unicall.c for Asterisk
...ed to copy these staff from "libtiff" directory under the untarred directory. In fact you do not need to use Steve's header files if you do like this.
3. At least the latest version of spandsp, libunicall and libmfcr2 can be compiled against the correct libtiff installation. The libspandsp should be installed first among all others as libunicall and libmfcr2 requires libspandsp (though Steve's web starts from libunicall).
4. I still cannot run TESTCALL application correctly for Brazil, though. I wonder if this happens country specific or not, so please input your result in you...
