discrepancies between stata and r for a cox regression
...I would like to develop the use of R.
Trying R and more particulary the cox model, I am surprised by discrepancies between results with stata and R for a cox model
With the same data base, I get a hazard ratio (4.82) that is not the same obtained with stata (4.52)
You will find attached the file leukemia.dta I used (Stata)
Here are the codes for R
library(foreign)
leukemia<-read.dta("leukemia.dta")
library(survival)
res <- coxph(Surv(TIME, STATUS)~TREAT, data=leukemia)
summary(res)
and here the codes for for stata

how to make stacked plot?
Dear friends:
I'm interested to make a stacked plot of cumulative incidence. that's, the cuminc model is fitted [fit=cuminc(time, relapse)] and cumulative incidence is in place. I'd like to stack the cuminc plots (relapse of luekemia and death free from leukemia, for example) , then the constituent ratio of leukemia relapse and treatment related mortality is very clear. Can you give me some directions?
Yours Ping Zhang

error bars on survival curve
I am using plot(survfit(Surv(time, status) ~...) and would like to add
error bars rather than the confidence intervals. Am I able to do this
at specified times? e.g. when time = 20 & 40.
leukemia.surv <- survfit(Surv(time, status) ~ x, data = aml)
plot(leukemia.surv, lty = 2:3,xlim = c(0,50))
#can i add error bars at times 20 & 40?
legend(100, .9, c("Maintenance", "No Maintenance"), lty = 2:3)
Thanks

x axis
Hello,
I write to know how can I modify the x axis : when I plot a survival object, R plots a graph with x values = 0, 10, 20, 30 while I want a graph with values 0, 6, 12, 18, 24 in the x axis. How can I do this? In R 2.1.1 version there was "time.inc" in survplot, but in version R 2.2.0 there isn't it!
I am sorry for my english and I hope that you understand my problem.
Thank you

exponential distribution
Dear all,
I've tried to solve the Es. 12, cap 4 of "Introduction to GLM" by Annette Dobson.
It's about the relationship between survival time of leukemia patients and blood cell count.
I tried to fit a model with exponential distribution, first by glm (family gamma and then dispersion parameter fixed to 1) and
then with survreg.
They gave me the same point estimates but the standard errors are slightly different.
I checked the results building the...
