Two sources on one mountpoint?
also, you can try two more things: 1- make the mix by hardware: a very simple mix console can do that. you can build it starting from resistors and capacitors. You can find a lot of such circuits in google. 2- mixing by soft: I can't tell you right now which soft can do that, but may be you find someone. chao, karel --- Geoff Shang <gshang@uq.net.au> wrote: > Hi: > >

How improuve bufferization speed ?
Hi, I've just done some test with my icecast server that is in my LAN... It's really slow comparing to many shoutcast server. The bufferization (32 Ko) take about 3s comparing to 1s for distante servers ! What should I do to improuve this ? Auth & restriction
Hi, is it possible to restrict the access to a source to certain user or to certain IP? Dynamically? How? The idea is to allow everyone to listen a 28 kbit stream but to allow only authorized person to access to a 128 kbit stream. <p><p><p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this

parsing icecast 1 and icecast2 logs in GUI web format
Hi I'm using webalizer without any modification to parse icecast 1 log files. It's not so bad. I'm also using a set of shellscript to do some stats with mrtg (such as simultaneous listeners graph) and I've planed to make a small java program using mrtg or rrdtool to remplace my shellscript and so avoid to need access to log files. Bests regards, EISELE Pascal Kerry Cox a

IceCast & Logrotate
Hi, Is lograte can be used to rotate icecast.log, ... ? IceCast seams to keep files open during is running time. So, when you try to move icecast.log, it still writing is the moved file. Moreover, if you delete the file, icecast doesn't write any more. Best regards, PE --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To

Slow icecast loopback
Hi, I'm using Icecast 1,3,12 under Debian GNU/Linux. When I use my local IP address everything is normal. When I use the loopback interface by accessing to my stream at 127,0,0,1 address, the stream is not as good as it should ! There is some strange jump and little cuts. Is some one as an idea and a solution ? Thanks --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast

Slow icecast loopback
There is no Debian stable package and our radio is in production... It's not a good idea to switch without a test phase and I don't think that it's going to correct the problem. Icecast 2.2.0 RC1 Announcement
Great Job ! ;) Are you planning to : - correct the metadata problem when you're relaying an icecast v1 server ? (our radio totaly depend on icecast v1...) - add an option to enable backup streams only when the primary one is done ? I mean that if a defined two mountpoint that are relaying different stream (from a primary and a secondary server) and define the backup option to the second

Bandwidth & Cost for broadcasting
Hi, I'm CTO for a new Techno/Trance Radio named Let's Go Zik (http://www.letsgozik.com) and i'm looking for the cheapest solution to broadcast. For the moment, we're using Live356 for relaying our stream. It's quite good but a little bit too cheap and not handy (they do not provide multiple bitrate relay, ...). This is why I'm starting a new study. Everyone can help us by

bit/bytes <= broadcasting : the state of art ?
Hi, Our webradio (Let's Go Zik - http://www.letsgozik.com) works with donation and partenship. I think it's the only way to keep a webradio alive for the moment... We are making our radio in a associative way... It's quite hard to "find" listeners. Currently we are nearly broadcasting for 60 simultaneous listeners (and approx. 5000 differents listeners per months)...
