tshirt design needed
...addition, we'd probably be able to push more vorbis
products, and other things through these people in the future.
Whether or not we choose to use them, we do need a shirt design. So
fire up the gimp and start sending them in. We can't promise we'll use
any of them, but if you make a kickass design, we'd love to use it.
In any case it should be fun, and I'll put up the designs people send me
somewhere so that we can all see them. Please email designs (png format
preferred) to jack@xiph.org.
I'm sure monty will fire up the gimp as well :)
happy drawing,
jack.

Something interesting
...ns, radio stations and just people who want to know what is going on for days since I setup http://hurricane.weatherserver.net and just started with one 200 person icecast server. Now we have multiple servers that can handle 1000 or more users.
I guess I just want to say thanks for making such a kickass streaming audio server. What people are doing right now wouldn't be possible without it.

Improving the PageRank of individual wiki pages
Hi,
Let me first stress that the success of the wiki is tight to how many
users find it as a resource. And that users will only find the wiki for
their problems if it has a higher PageRank.
(I am using PageRank as an example, other search engines would do
better if we can implement some changes overall.)
If we take the HowTos/Laptops/Wireless page as an example, the page is not
part of the

New index file code
I just had to write this even while it's not just yet in CVS, but it's
only a few fixes away from being committed..
My year long dream has finally came true :)
[Summary: Next release will have REALLY kickass indexes]
Previously the biggest problem with caching message data in indexes was
that we had to do it while syncing the mailbox, before client even saw
those messages. This caused index rebuilds to be very slow since it had
to go through all mails and cache all of them, even if client never
would...

Why is there no Smalltalk-like IDE for Ruby?
I posted this to comp.lang.ruby and comp.lang.smalltalk, and my blog.
I will likely get destroyed, but it will be worth it if at least one
nugget of information helps the Ruby IDE makers.

Hi all --
I shout my question to the entire Ruby + Smalltalk community: Smalltalk
has had amazing IDEs for decades, why not Ruby? Smalltalkers, Ruby
needs your help!
