Better keybindings for move and resize
Hi, I'm attaching a patch that improves the keybindings for keyboard resize and move. In both cases, the action can now be cancelled by Esc, moving the window back to the position and size it had before the action was initiated. Furthermore, for the resize case, the keybindings now work more like metacity, in that when initiated, it starts with the cu...

asterisk cli - vi keybindings ?
This might sound lika a "small" issu, but here it goes: I'm a long time unix user and my shell history usage and editing is configured to use vi keybindings; it's something that's already built into my fingers and using different bindings, like the arrow keys to fetch previous lines, really blows me !... :-( Is there any way to setup the asterisk cli to use such keybindings ? I took a quick glance at 1.4.11 source and found readline.[...

Keybindings trouble
I'm using the latest compiz-git (along with compcomm patches & ccsm) and I'm having troubles with some keybindings. It seems that compiz is somehow intercepting any shortcuts that I try to use that are Control +Alt+*OTHER*. For example, I have set in my xfce keyboard settings to lock the screen on Control+Alt+l, it works fine with xfwm4 and the last version of beryl, but it only sometimes works with compiz....

Windows key works some times I boot, doesn't work others
Hi all, I run CentOS5.1 with all updates, and like to use metacity's keybindings (gconf-editor->/apps/metacity/global_keybindings and keybinding_commands) to set shortcut keys for xterm, nautilus, and the like, so <Mod4>x runs xterm and <Mod4>e runs nautilus, rather how Windows-XP keyboard shortcuts work. I always log on as 'neek', the only user oth...

need info for X11 keybindings for CentOS7
Hello all-- It seems using ctrl-alt-F1 to exit from GUI back to MY OWN SESSION'S command line does not work for me. It does nothing. Is this something that needs to be explicitly enabled? I start GUI using "startx". Also, any info on what to use to get BACK to my X11 session. Discussions seem confusing on this point. Thanks for any help. -- "And in the end, only

compiz-scheme. Interactive prompt and example startup file.
Beyond the general work on compiz-scheme (new wrappings, hooks, code improvements, etc), I've added a few large new things: 1. Key bindings with modifiers. This lets you from any of your scheme files/interactive prompt bind an arbitrary key + modifier to an arbitrary scheme function. So you can define new Compiz behaviors and shortcuts on the fly. 2. An interactive prompt. This sets up a

Most used R editors
...a little lonely as R users in my group. So, I would like to know which editor is the most used in the R community. This post is some kind of survey. Personally, I use Emacs with ESS, It permits to : - open more than one R session - split the emacs editor as many part as you want. - use a lot of keybindings. ... I also tried Rkwards, Scilab (windows), JGR etc... but they are not suitable for what I do. issues with Asterisk CLI
Hello, I have Asterisk 16.2 on Debian. In the Asterisk CLI, I would like to change 2 things: 1) change the keybindings for commandline editing (what in bash is called "readline" editing of the command line) The CLI is missing some very useful keybindings, and even worse, has misconfigured others, For instance, "ctrl"+"w" should delete the last word backward. But the CLI deletes whole...

Ctrl-Alt-F? bindings broken under xen 3.0.3-142.el5_9.1 / 2.6.18-348.1.1.el5xen?
...my X11 session (Ctrl-Alt-F7)! I did some googling, but did not find anything. So far as I can tell, I can switch to one of the other VT (Ctrl-Alt-Fn) *from* VT7 (my X11 session), but cannot then switch to any other VT from there, using the Ctrl-Alt-F? key bindings. The chvt command works, but the keybindings don't. It is most strange. I know this used to work (and still does work just fine on my laptop, running much the same system, including the same X11 configuration, with the same desktop setup (plain fvwm in MWM compatibity mode, same keybindings, etc.). Other than different video cards (and...

Latest switcher patches, bugfix.
...dow order with minimized windows is undefined, and this fixes it. Also, I notice that in some cases switcher fails to get an icon for a window. Perhaps the icon code is forcing a search for a specific size, rather than 'best-fit'? Also, the patch allows usage of alt+shift+tab (in default keybindings) to initiate switcher as well. --Quinn -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... SYSLINUX 3.11-pre10
Okay, the serial port feature in 3.11-pre9 was of course completely broken (I seem to have bad luck with -pre9's :)... a 3.11-pre10 is now available, and it does seem to have a more reliable handling of arrow keys ... *but not perfect*. There simply is no way to reliably detect both [Esc] and arrow keys on existing serial consoles. -hpa

TextMate language weirdness
I''m having trouble with TextMate and assigning the RSpec language to *_spec.rb files within rails projects. Here is what is happening: I''m in a file that has the language "Ruby on Rails" selected. I do a ctrl-shift-down to switch to the corresponding _spec.rb file. The _spec.rb file has the language "Ruby on Rails" selected. I change the language to
