domU on gfs
Hey All, I have a cluster setup and exporting gfs storage everything is working ok(as far as I know anyway). But instead of mounting the gfs storage I want the xen guest to be installed on the shared gfs storage. But with my current setup when I install the domU on the gfs storage it changes it to ext3. Is it possible this way or does the domU have to be on an ext file system?

Druid Open Source Edition
I have recently noticed that druid @ http://www.voiceroute.org has created an open source edition of their platform. I downloaded it today and installed it on a play system where I have about 20 ip phones ranging from cisco, polycom and aastra phones. I didn't even have to configure them as the system automatically did it for me. I have been using trixbox/freepbx combination for over that last

Issue with validation
Hello, I just got hold of the book ''Agile Web Development with Rails'' and I have been following along. I just went through a segment of trying to add validation to a form. I added the following code, as instructed, to my app/models/Products.rb file: protected def validate errors.add(:Price, "should be positive") unless Price.nil? || Price >= 0.01 end

Questions on cpu frequency scaling AMD vs. Intel
I've been playing and comparing frequency scaling between AMD and Intel CPUs yesterday and there seem to be great differences between AMD and Intel and some gotchas. This is all on CentOS 5.2 with latest Xen kernels (which are supposed to be powersaving-enabled since 5.2). AMD: It seems once I get the AMD CPU to use the ondemand governor it works very well and very efficiently. But this

Call does not terminate correctly
We are using an MGCP configuration. There seems to be some incompatibilities between our Netergy T2 VOIP chip and Asterisk. This is how our Vendor sees it: Here's what I see. 1. The first call is initiated. (CRCX) The interesting thing here is that the CA (Call Agent) tells us to go directly into sendrecv mode which means that we start streaming audio immediately. All other CAs that

mac address for 2nd nic
Hey All, After you configure you domU''s for 2 nics does the 2nd nic have to have a mac address in the config file? If so how do I generate a mac address for the eth1. I looked through dmesg but didn''t notice any mac address for the nics. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com

Web Interface for adding new users
Greetings to all, We are new to the Asterisk community and really appreciate the willingness you have to share knowledge and help one another. We are building one of the Nations first fiber to the home networks here in Provo and have selected Asterisk to test as our phone switch. Newbie kinds of questions: Is there any web-based tool that would allow non-technical personnel to add new

MGCP RFC (2705) vs. PacketCable MGCP spec
We are working on a new implementation of asterisk. We are using a fiber-served WorldWide Packet switch at the home that incorporates a VOIP T2 switch that feeds 2 POTS connections. We are told that the T2 is programmed with code that follows the PacketCable spec. This version has a problem with the 'congestion' message which is based on the MGCP RFC (2705) spec. This causes the T2 to

Roaming profiles won't save changes
In both 2000 and XP when someone makes a change to thier desktop, folders located on thier desktop, etc, then logs out those changes are not reflected on the server. Thus when that person logs back in all files, icons, etc are restored even though they were deleted. Logouts occur very rapidly but logins occur very slowly and it is only certain users that have this issue. What must I do to fix
