I have recently noticed that druid @ http://www.voiceroute.org has created an open source edition of their platform. I downloaded it today and installed it on a play system where I have about 20 ip phones ranging from cisco, polycom and aastra phones. I didn't even have to configure them as the system automatically did it for me. I have been using trixbox/freepbx combination for over that last year and I will now be making the switch to druid. It came with a user portal that was easy to use and had alot of great features. Has anyone downloaded this system today?? Can you please let me know what you think as well. -Josh -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Is there a limit on how many phones you can use? I couldn't find anything on the website about this. ________________________________ From: asterisk-users-bounces at lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces at lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Joshua Wilson Sent: Wednesday, March 12, 2008 1:43 PM To: asterisk-users at lists.digium.com Subject: [asterisk-users] Druid Open Source Edition I have recently noticed that druid @ http://www.voiceroute.org has created an open source edition of their platform. I believe that is/was one of the goals of the phonecall project. -----Original Message----- Does it implement the ability to run more than 1 PBX in asterisk ? (Virtual PBX) To be clear: more then 1 company using the same physical asterisk

You can call in via PSTN or SIP by following the instructions on the web pages. /r
id like to know where you believe this is IP infringing every asterisk management tool has trunks administration, and if you ask me designing a GUI to manage asterisk trunks doesnt qualify as IP seeing as they all do exactly the same thing, manage trunks. theres nothing secret here..... and assessing them all, well they all do one thing and thats configure asterisk. No pitch here. It is you making the sales pitch. This is the "Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion" list which you and Dean repeatedly use for commercial purposes. To get back on track, this is a little more complicated to get working on other distros than I previously thought. I am able to get the GUI to a page that says "Upgrade Druid" but it always fails with "Upgrade database failed for version 1.0.0-1. I cannot find anything in any logs as to why. I am still playing with postgres and trying to see what scripts in the RPMs setup the DB and populate it. So far druid-psql-2.0.0.3.noarch.rpm and druid-release-5-1.0.el5.centos.1.i386.rpm is all I have been able to find. One just creates the DB and the other inserts the CDR table into the asterisk DB. I have even invited you to take up the matter outside the "pitch". The "sport" pitch dear Steve (soccer for example)... You chose to ignore it for whatever reason ticks you not to be!!! That SHOWS a lot about you. Should you choose to reply further, I will ignore your posts to allow you to SHOW your self further. Senad
