xServes are dead ;-( / SAN Question
...aplication etc. But this
announce has come put a little delay. We do have several servers running
CentOS (about 10 or so), on intel server platform.
Now with this said, I am searching for documentation on operating a SAN
under linux. We are looking at Quantum StorNext FS2 product for the SAN
itselft.
And I am searching info about accessing volumes on a fiber channel network
by label. I know I can label individual ext3 partition, but how to do so on
a raid array via fiber channel ?
Basicly, I search for a linux starter guide to fiber channel storage.
Thanks for any insight.

Duncan's retirement: who's taking over Rtools?
I agree with Moshe.
It is important to maintain the independence of R as a programming language
by itselft, even if it could benefit from Microsoft work (C++ Base Code,
etc.), it is better in my opinion to keep it independent.
Also, Duncan work and know-how shall be transferred to the next future R
Core Developer which will be in charge of Duncan's roles. And, if
appropriate, transfer the scripts D...

How do I port a 16bit Macromedia binary game?
...that wine was made for 16bit orginally and had support to run it.
Recently tried to install it with wine skin but I get a error message at launch.
I have installed several 32bit applications before and they have worked flawlessly but this does not run yet.
Maybe you guys know better?! =)
The game itselft seems to be a 16bit Macromedia Director binary.
(you will be finding the windows game itself in the bottom of this post, you will not be violating any copyright laws since accourding to the former publishing company the CR is now for the Swedish public and classed as a part of swedish culture.)

test65 killed by SIGSEV
Hi,
I had successfully set up dovecot-1.0-test62 + ldap pass/user db, but
now I'm encoutering a SIGSEV problem with a similar set up of a brand
new dovecot-1.0-test65 installation.
The auth process is killed by a SIGSEV as reported in the error log file :
dovecot: Mar 30 17:06:59 Error: child 28291 (auth) killed with signal 11
To be precise, the problem occurs in the

Duncan's retirement: who's taking over Rtools?
I think that even though some Microsoft employees may have good intentions Microsoft as a company can not be trusted. There will be always a danger that they will try to create their own version of R which works only on Windows and that will become increasingly divergent from "other" R. We witnessed such (cursed in my opinion) attempts with their treatment of Java and Internet Explorer.
