Long equation in documentation
I have a long equation that I need to break in the R documentation of a package or it trails off the right hand side of the page. Here's the formula:

Photoshop menus
Hi,
Wine 0.9.17 user here having bad headaches with Photoshop menus...
When choosing an option from the context menu or some other sorts of
drop downs, the respective areas are not clickable even they are
highlighted.
Other thing would be that when I'm opening Blending Options, set some
effects, then click OK, the tool windows is disappearing ...
Could you advise on this matter, please?

Compiler OR Obfuscator for RoR applications?
Hi folks,
I''m a newbie in the Ruby land, The Ruby language and RoR looks really

Truning on pid$target probes hangs Solaris
Hi:
I''m running Indiana (OpenSolaris developer preview) under parallels
in OS X 10.5.1. I can consistently get Solaris to hang.
Doing a
dtrace -n pid\$target::malloc:entry''{@=count()}'' -c ls
will consistently hang Solaris.
Basically doing anything with PID provider with the
-c option seems to hangs Solaris. Only way to recover
is to stop and start Parallels desktop.

Can I use a static build to install on an obsolete target?
For complex reasons, I need to run Wine on RedHat 7.2 (which dates from
about 2001, kernel 2.4.7). The wine that shipped on 7.2 is pretty much
unusable (for me); I have issues with keyboard input and fonts, the
Windows app doesn't run, it uses the old-style config file, and so on.
I figured that installing a more recent binary RPM would lead to all

very slow horizontal scrolling
My application has horizontal scrolling text. Under WINE it is very slow. Like a pixel per second.
I presume its slow as these messages print on screen:

Found this while surfing random 'linux wine' blog hits:
http://larsgard.com/nilsmagnus/?p=15 is a recipe
for getting the datalog.exe tool that comes with
the i-Blue 747 GPS reciever working in Wine.
It uses usb as if it were a serial port. Kinda cool...

Porting a Win32 application using Winelib...
Hello,
I'm currently trying to use Winelib to port a fairly big
windows application to Linux. The application consists of
quite a lot of DLLs, some of which don't depend on the
Win32 API (they can be compiled with gcc).
I think I read all available documentation, but I still

Random software that no one has, and is not in the appdb.
I have a bunch of children's games and other random software that came in
cereal boxes :). Obviously 80% of these programs aren't even in the appdb,
